Hanna was very good at communication and she helped us checking in late, and she was accommodating. However, I don't suggest Hanna's apartment to anyone. Bathroom was extremely dirty. There was disgusting human hair around on the toilet and the floors of the bathroom and the room. Faucet was very dirty. We suspect the sheets on the bed were not clean since it was wrinkled as if someone just slept on it and there was hair on it too. It was a terrible AirBnB experience for us.
I'm not one to leave a bad review, especially for such a kind, laid back individual, but our weekend at Hanna's was not the relaxing Charleston getaway that we hoped for. As the previous reviews stated, the host is very laid back and friendly. However, we felt like the host was unprepared for our stay. Upon checking in the day prior to provide our ETA and to ask for check-in instructions, we were not provided with any. We sent a message while we were on the road to provide our exact ETA, but again, were not provided with any instructions on what to expect upon arrival (lock box, where the key is, where to park, etc.) When we arrived, we knocked and no one answered the door. When we reached out to confirm we had arrived, the host noted she had stepped out for a bit and that her sister would let us in. The sister had no idea we were staying for the entire weekend and tried to give us her personal key to the house, but we felt more comfortable checking in with Hanna herself. No big deal, Hanna showed up shortly after and everything was sorted out. The room we stayed in was accurate to the picture. Hanna provided us with towels, water and a roll of toilet paper for the weekend. The bathroom was a bit messy and did not have any hand soap or hand towels, which made popping my contacts in and out a bit difficult. It's a shared bathroom for the house, so the cleanliness will be reliant on the house guests staying there during a given weekend. All was well until our second night of our stay. The host reached out that morning to inform us she intended on hosting a house warming party that night and that we were welcome to join if we planned on being home during that time. Being that it was the day of her party, we felt thrown off guard that we were just learning about this. We were also out and about on tours and didn't have the opportunity to stop back to lock our things in the car, as the room we stayed in had no locking door. We gave our host the benefit of the doubt that it would be a tame affair that would not be too disruptive, especially since she was apologizing in advance for any noise disruptions. When we got back to the house at midnight, it wasn't clear whether the host and her guests were home or not as the light to the garage was on and the house was quiet. The roll of toilet paper we had was all gone from the party and we could not find any replacements. The guests at the party also blocked in our car, so we sent Hanna a message to ask for more toilet paper and to shuffle around our cars so that we could leave for the beach early in...
