Room in a home

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Stonewycke B&B offers a delightful getaway that is off the beaten path, yet only 10-30 minutes from many sights & attractions of Lancaster County. Unwind on the back deck or in the comfortable Great Room after a busy day, or walk our paths and enjoy a closer look at nature on our mostly-wooded 11 acres.

Private rooms are in the ‘new’ (2000) addition to our 1800’s-built log home, so you’ll enjoy updated accommodations while experiencing the charm of the original log cabin.

The space
These two private adjoining bedrooms, each with its own private full bathroom ensuite, share the common Great Room with a third rented room. There is a kitchenette in the Great Room (with mini-fridge and microwave), as well as a coffee/tea bar where muffins, cereal & fruit will be provided each morning. The Great Room also has a comfortable sitting area, with a games/puzzles cabinet for your enjoyment, as well as a half bathroom.
*** Bedrooms are on the second floor, so you will need to climb stairs.
***We are a NON-SMOKING property. This includes the room, any shared space, and the outside property.

Our community offers so many interesting things to do! For instance, if you want to discover more about the Amish way of life, arrangements can be made to have dinner in an Amish home nearby. (This REQUIRES ADVANCE planning, so don’t wait until you get here to ask!) Or if you like biking/walking/jogging, the Enola Low Grade Trail is only a few miles away. No matter what your interest, Lancaster County has something to offer for a fun getaway!

Guest access
Guests can use Self Check-in with a Lockbox for your convenience.

Guests will have use of back porch & deck, fire circle and back yard, and paths through the woods.

During your stay
My husband and I live in the other half of the house, but not in the Guest Space. We are available to answer questions or offer suggestions, but we will give guests the privacy they desire.

Other things to note
Parents with young children need to be advised that there is a pond on the property.

The lane leading into Stonewycke is a fairly steep driveway. In case of snow or ice it is best to have an Alll-Wheel-Drive vehicle. We will do our best to keep it clear and make sure you are able to get out, but we feel it important to give you a heads up.

One of my favorite things to do is spend time with family and friends, and I love to do it whether at home or when we are exploring new areas! When we travel, my husband Marlin and I like to see the 'ordinary' side of new places, and being an airbnb guest has allowed us to do that. Over the years we've hosted many friends from throughout the US and around the world, so we see our airbnb hosting as an extension of our hospitality and love for people.
