This clean, light filled, renovated studio is ideally suited for a working professional or couple seeking the neighborhood feel of Brooklyn. Located adjacent to the Navy Yard and Steiner Studios, enjoy the Fort Greene and Clinton Hill neighborhoods. The studio is positioned in the front of a larger artist loft apartment but very private with your own street-level entrance, kitchenette, bathroom. It is separated from the main loft by a dividing wall, however we share some common airspace.

The space

While the studio is a separate space, it is still part of a much larger (1,700sf) live/work artist loft apartment that is home to myself, my partner and 14-year old son and for this reason it is a legal NYC airbnb guest space. We prefer long-term monthly rentals.

For the past-two years I have enjoyed using the front of my loft as a space to host airbnb guests and we have just completed a major renovation of this space with a glass partition wall, new kitchen and bathroom.

While the unit is separated for privacy it shares air-space on the ground floor and is partitioned by a glass wall with white blinds for added privacy. Please let us know your needs and we will keep the sounds to a minimum from our side of the loft.

The studio has a modern fridge, convection oven, hotplate, electric kettle, and coffee maker, a kitchen table+two chairs and a small selection of cookware, utensils, and eating/drinking-ware.

You sleep on a beautiful and comfortable queen sized canopy bed with linen curtains than can be drawn for added privacy or coziness.

The private bathroom consists of a tiled shower, basin, and toilet. It is located at the entrance hall of the main loft/apartment, mere steps from your bedroom. However, it is still quite private.

High speed wireless internet. Cable television are also available, as needed. As a requirement of the building management, I will ask that guests sign a liability waiver upon sign in.

Guest will benefit from their own private entrance through ground level glass doors. Long stay guest will also benefit from cleaning and laundry services.

I have lived in the property for over 15 years and have seen the neighborhood transformed into what it is now -- a thriving creative fun destination. I live and work as a full time artist in the loft behind your space with my son and dog. Feel free to ask me anything about the city. I'll be happy to share with you my favorite dives, restaurants, and knowledge of the art community.

On the block we have a reliable restaurant (El Porto), a coffee shop (Brooklyn Coffee Rosters), a specialty wine store (Grapeshot), and the Body by Brooklyn Body Spa. There is also overnight street parking.

We are half a block from the Brooklyn Navy Yard, home to Steiner Studios and a host of small creative industries.

Fort Greene is considered one of Brooklyn's prime neighborhoods. The apartment is walking distance to the beautiful Fort Greene Park, the Brooklyn Flea market, Myrtle Avenue, and tons of restaurants, bars, and shopping. It is also a short walk to Pratt Institute, Atlantic Center Mall, Barclay Center, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), where you can catch film, theater, dance, music, and more.

Traveling by car, no problem we have street parking and parking under the BQE.
Public Transportation: a short walk to the G, and C stops on Washington Ave (8-10min). Or try taking the bus to the express subway stations. Bus #61 stops on Park Ave., Bus #57 stops on Flushing Ave., every 8-10 minutes. Travel time to Brooklyn's Downtown Jay Street train station or Broadway (the Williamsburg L-Train) is 8-10 minuets, both fast ways to commute into the city.

City Bikes are conveniently located on the corner of our block and we are within biking distance to Dumbo, Clinton Hill, and Williamsburg. We are also a 10-minute cab ride into Lower Manhattan via the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges (1.3 miles from our door) -- and for those with a little extra time we are a 22 min walk through Fort Green to the Atlantic Center Terminal (B,D, N, R, Q, 2, 3, 4, 5 Long Island Railroad).

Our guests have also used Cars2Go, a convenient car rental option for use in Brooklyn.

I had a wonderful time at Bradley's place. It's very well located and near the subway. The neighbourhood is lovely to. The apartment was perfect for my stay. It had everything that I needed. And the coffee shop just down the corner is excellent. Bradley was an excellent host. He was available and easy to keep in touch. He also invited me for dinner with his family. I highly recommend this place and for sure will be going back if ever I go back to NY!

Bradley was such a wonderful and kind host. He made our experience in his neighborhood very easy with all of his fine local tips. The location of his place was great-especially with the public bike share system right outside the door. His place was a unique place to stay in Fort Green and gave us a great feel for living in a Brooklyn studio space. There was 3 of us and there was more than enough room for our needs. I would most certainly recommend staying here-Bradley will make sure you have a very pleasant and hassle free stay!

This little loft space is very relaxed and comfortable. Both Natasha and Bradley were very friendly and helpful during my 10-day stay. The neighbourhood is somehow charming and laid-back, but still central and full of hustle and bustle! Good restaurants, markets, transportation all around, made for an easy stay.

The apartment is clean, cozy and had everything I needed for a few days stay in new york. It's also centrally located and close to both the subway and great dining / drinking options on Myrtle ave. It's about a 20 minute walk into Williamsburg. A great place!

Bradley is an amazing host, made sure I had a good time and helped me out whenever he was around. His studio and artwork is inspiring to see. The loft was spacious, clean and comfortable. The apartment is in a perfect location to explore Brooklyn, Williamsburg or Manhattan, right in the middle of it all. All in all a great experience and I'll be coming back on my next visit!

I am a mid-career professional artist and I work from my home studio. One year ago I purchased this loft, after having lived in the building for more than 15-years. I share it with my ten-year old son and our dog. We love the neighborhood and I’m a great resource when it comes to local attractions, kid friendly activities, and the New York art scene.
