Flat inside a 17th century villa built in the Roman walls, close to the centre, very well connected, 5 minutes from Termini central station. Two bedrooms, entrance and a large kitchen, it can accommodate up to five.

The space

The apartment is in a building that was added in the 1920s to an older complex that dates back to the 17th century. The villa is above ground level as it was build on a Roman aqueduct. A medieval tower is visible from one of the rooms and from the other you can look down towards the Aurelian walls the building actually stands on.

The flat, about 70 square metres, is composed of an entrance where there is a single bed, two bedrooms with double beds (the beds are new we have just changed them!) that can accommodate two people each, a large kitchen, one bathroom. The house is full of books, there is no tv, but we have wifi. The place is quite old so there is no central heating, but every room is equipped with a gas heater, which is very safe and heats the house up in no time. Fresh and quiet in summer time.

The flat can accommodate four, there is an extra single mattress that can be used for a fifth person.

The flat is fully equipped, you will find:

The place is great! Emma was so accommodating and gave us great places near the apartment to eat. It is such a convenient location, only a 5 min walk to Termini station. The apartment was so homey and Emma was a great host. My friends and I highly recommend it!

The apartment is really nice. Emma was very helpful and even gave us two pairs of keys since we where two couples. Every thing is as shown on the pictures and we where really happy with the whole. The neighborhood is really authentic; there are a lot of little restaurants and bars. The city center is around 15-20 minutes walk but you can also take the bus and the stop is just on the corner of the building. If we had the chance to come back to Rome, we will return to Emma’s apartment without any doubt !

We had a great stay at Emma's place. The apartment has the typical italian touch, we loved it! It wasn't our last trip to this place :) Thank you Emma! xxx

Emma's flat is a lovely place and its location on the Roman city wall (3rd century) is very special. The building itself could use some maintenance work, but to a large extent the little defects add to the charm - only the low water pressure of the shower may be a bit uncomfortable during the winter. The flat has lots of character and contains a mouthwatering collection of books, a very cosy, well equipped kitchen and a comfy bed. Wifi worked excellent. Emma is a perfect host, responding quickly and easy going. I enjoyed my time massively and would certainly return.

I was born in Rome 33 years ago, I am bilingual so this might help you during your stay! I was a professional dancer, I graduated in philosophy, I teach English and I love reading.. My house is very cosy, I like to let it to people who are travelling, meet new people and share my love of Rome. I usually stay not far from the flat so I am available most of the day. Feel free to email me for any further information!
