I was very surprised to read your review, as I was unaware of many of the problems that you experienced. I certainly would have done whatever needed to be done to make your stay more enjoyable for your family. I do not usually have a chance to check the cleanliness of the condo prior to guests’ arrival, as I live too far away so I do depend on a cleaning service. Most reviews from guests are positive regarding the cleanliness of the condo, so I have always had confidence in the cleaning service that I use. I did ask them to try to get it done as soon as possible to accommodate your request for an early check-in, so that could have resulted in less attention to detail from the cleaners. I apologize for that and will address it with my service provider. Thank you for pointing out that the chairs,coolers, and boogie boards were missing. With guests continuously in and out things tend to disappear. I would have replaced them during your stay if I have known, and they will be replaced for future guests. I am sorry that you were disappointed with the furniture and decor. I have never been much of a “trend follower” with home furnishings. I prefer to furnish my home with eclectic things that make me feel comfortable. As far as it needing renovations, it is underway and a work in progress. We just replaced the carpet and flooring upstairs and will be replacing the downstairs flooring in August, as well as updating the kitchen. While we recognize it is in need of a few things, we like to be able to share it with others through Airbnb during the process to provide families an affordable option to stay on Amelia Island. Most of our guests appreciate the value of staying in an entire home with their families for half the price of a single hotel room on the island. I am truly sorry that our home did not meet your expectations. I’m glad your daughter enjoyed the turtles. They are cute!
