Custer Canyon Ranch "PENTHOUSE" is a primitive space, a bit above tent camping. It is the 8' x 16' rafter space over the tack room in our horse barn/shop building, equipped with up to 3 queen-sized air mattresses. Access by climbing the wall-mounted barn ladder. Or hang your HAMMOCKS in a horse stall! Shower and toilet in the ranch house. Water hydrant 50 feet from barn. Our cool evenings help this space sleep well, even in the summer. Requires good sleeping bag in winter! Fire pit for cooking

Shirley is very caring and easy to communicate with. We had a great time staying at her simple yet well kept barn penthouse - a perfect place for stargazing and hanging out with animals. It was a great getaway from our daily city life.
