The space
We are excited you found us!

We are Earthjoy village and have three treehouses on 200 acres of privately owned land strategically placed to give you privacy and close enough that you can rent out all three. One built by Master Pete Nelson.

You will have private access to the 285 acres with over ten miles of rolling hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. There is a laminated map inside your treehouse with descriptions on the back. There are hammocks, and tire swings along the way. There are creeks to explore, play and hike. Your trail starts right below your treehouse

The listing you are looking at presently is the Aliyah treehouse. What makes it unique is that the snuggle palace is 50 feet high ...this is our tallest treehouse. It’s great for when you’re a family that likes to spread out. In the main cabin is a full size bed and across the swinging bridge is a bunk bed with a twin & full size bed.

What stands us apart is the quiet, seclusion and options to add on adventures like our unique guided tree climb.

THE ALIYAH. This tree house is for those wanting an, "off the grid nature experience." It sleeps 2 adults and 3-4 kids. This is TRULY, a one of a kind experience.

Inside this particular tree house you are greeted by a tree in the room. As in: a more-than-100-year-old, two foot wide trunk right there in the middle, lichen and all, reaching straight through the roof, one of two red oaks that support the tree house.

Neighboring limbs hold a second tree-house bedroom accessible by a suspended rope-and-plank bridge to a deck. It’s an excellent place to sleep, without light or sounds, except for the nighttime woods.

It’s trees as far as the eyes can see. The woods hold different marvels all times of year, so there is no off-season.

Guests also relax with a swinging cabana tree pod below, a hammock village, a outdoor patio set, a stacked-stone fire-pit, cafe seating outside the main tree house on the deck, and shaded hiking paths (including the popular 3.3 mile Heart Trail) that wind through the 285-acre private property, each bend bringing old growth forests full of white and red oaks, hickories, blackberry patch for you to pick your own, ponds, and creeks. Plus the NEWEST are two of largest tunnel landslides in Ky. to enjoy (over 150 feet)

There is a space heater for winter for both spaces.

You have a compost toilet 5 second walk outside the treehouse for quick trips and a private bathroom marked Aliyah bath house up the road about a football field away with shower, flushing toilet, sink, towels, wash rags, soap, shampoo, paper towels and toilet paper. Heated in the winter.

Cooking: It has a fully stocked kitchenette inside and everything you need to cook all your meals including propane stove, 3-gallon tank of water, pots and pans, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, and utensils, French coffee press, and cooler. With a portable sink for clean up. A charcoal grill outside. Bring your own preference of charcoal

Beds: A full memory foam mattress in the loft above the living room in main cabin.
The snuggle palace bedroom has a full size memory foam mattress below and twin bunk above. Snuggle Palace gives you that true treehouse feel so you will have to draw straws.

This TreeHouse is recommended for Nature lovers, people who seek time away from technology and love being outside. It is an experience.

Because it is truly a off the grid experience we want to alert you to a few things you may have to navigate during your stay. We have lighting for you by makita light, ceiling light, and mini lights. We recommend bringing your own head lamps. You have two electrical outlets in this treehouse mainly for space heater. You can charge your cell phones via the USB ports on the Makita battery source.

The tree grove is available to you to book a guided tree climb. Here, our professional facilitator will take you step by step to the top for the best views! Challenge by choice and always on rope. You can learn all the tree tricks, including coming down, upside down. Or you can always just hang out in the GIANT green net!

A fire-pit is strategically placed to view from the all parts of the tree house. Build a fire and roast marsh mellows. You can buy a bundle of split firewood for $40.00 that will be delivered to your treehouse with a small fire starter, about 20 pieces that equals one night or bring your own firewood( It must have state compliance code)

Pets are welcome for 50 a pet per stay. Maximum 2.

You can go on scavenger hunt to find the 5 ponds, (scavenger bingo is supplied for you and in the tree house.) A favorite of guests is to explore an abandoned 1800s settlers log cabin...proceed with caution, wade and play in several cool creeks! Bring your fishing poles for kids fishing ponds.

We now have two large land slides over 150 feet on property for you to explore. Bring wax paper if you want to go super fast

Make sure to play the survival card game in the tree house to get everyone engaged and off their phones!

Check out our nature invitations in the tree house manual as a tool to enhance your self-awareness, connect deeper to nature, and others.

We cannot predict the weather. When it is sunny and warm things can be peachy. The tree house can also be fun when it rains just prepare ahead of time. We will send out a welcome letter once you book with detailed info for a rainy day and other important things to note.

In good dry weather you will have much easier time to navigate right up to the tree house! However, if snow is in forecast, we recommend four wheel drive or front wheel drive with good tires. If you are afraid you will get stuck during your stay we ask you do not pull down further than the green farm house at entry of property. From there you can use a wagon next to farmhouse to take your things down or pre-arrange someone to assist you

We have a detailed manual inside the tree house for more details about everything in the tree house.

You will also receive a detailed welcome letter after you book with what to bring, what to expect and local information like where to get groceries.

We love our guests and love to MEET everyone. However first and foremost we respect your privacy. If you would like to meet us simply give us a text during your stay and if we are on the property we will meet you. We do not live on the property and hour away so you will need to be coached for any problems via phone

Please take note*** This adventure includes Wildlife. The tree house is in the middle of the woods you may encounter mice, wasp, bees, ticks, deer, turkey, flies, ants, water bugs, hear coyotes, and owls especially out on the trails. THIS IS THEIR HOME! We ask that you be a person that loves and respects wildlife. If interaction with bugs, insects, animals and nature is disheartening to you we do not recommend this tree house experience for you.

Local Tips
**A favorite of guests is visiting the Historical town of Augusta Ky. Childhood home to George Clooney. The Irish Pub is a great place to eat (call ahead for open hours) and have a ice cream after at the general store across the street. Visit the small red train with historical info and take a stroll along the beautiful Ohio River just two blocks to the left of the pub. Augusta is also home to underground railroad.

Another favorite for more fine dining right on the river is the Beehive. Call ahead to make sure they are open during your stay and to make reservations.

From Augusta you can take a magical ferry ride across river and visit small town of Ripley. Find a place to eat along the river. You can take bridge back to Maysville and visit their historical downtown. Eat at Parc Cafe-A Italian cafe replica or at the five star LILJUMBO cafe

For quick bite to eat order a Pizza from the Germantown 1st stop Gas station 4 miles and pick it up. Phone number is in the treehouse or order from Snappy's in Brooksville and they will now deliver as far as 3 miles from tree house by Palmer funeral home at beginning of 875

Back story. The Tree houses are our dream come true. We both wanted treehouses at a young age. For me being in nature brings me peace. When I was 9 I would play in the woods with my siblings and build my tree house with small branches, using rocks as our furniture and moss as our carpet. I never let go of having this space and thought about it often.

When Bill and I started our dream company EarthJOY Tree adventures in 2007. Whereas we take clients to the top of trees on ropes. As part of this venture we wanted to give them another experience. Why not be able to stay in a treehouse too??

We set off to take Pete Nelsons LEARN HOW TO BUILD A TREEHOUSE in 2009 workshop.

After the workshop we looked high and low for the perfect property to have this dream come true. We ran into many obstacles one being not able to afford it or not the right trees.

When we saw Pete on Animal planet I thought I would just apply for the fun of it. We didn't even have a place. When they called and accepted our application I called Dad. I asked him if we could build a treehouse on his 200 acre farm. He laughed and then said YES! He said he was tired of running two farms and would now change gears to have a few tree houses.

In 2017 we built our second tree house. This one you are reading about!

IN 2019 we finished our third tree house built by Bill ~ co-owner and my husband. He put love into every single nail and board. It is unique in that it has play elements like a slide, 2 swings and double loft. He made 50% of the tree house from the land itself using cedars and re-purposed wood and roof from one of the old farmhouses .

*** Important *** No RESCHEDULES or CANCELLATIONS within 30 days of your stay! This is a strict policy! As a small business, we are no longer able to accept cancels or reschedules unless it is a death in the immediate family! However you are able to transfer it to someone else that is 21+. If it’s outside 30 days before your stay and you absolutely need to cancel or reschedule your date, there is a $75.00 Change of reservation fee. We DO NOT accept CANCELLATIONS beyond 30 days, RAIN OR SHINE. Please DO NOT call if you are cancelling weather related.

During your stay

Sometimes we are on the property conducting tree climbs or retreats. Other than that we respect your privacy and available by text, phone or chat on air bnb throughout your stay. We also rent out 2 other tree houses that are about a football field away from this tree house. You can barely see it when the trees are in full bloom. Far enough a way to give you privacy and close enough if your friends or family want to rent the other one.
