Other things to note
IMPORTANT Please can you message me with a estimated arrival time when making a booking reservation/enquiry as I will be living several miles away from the apartment during your stay. Please note that unfortunately we are unable to do check-ins on Sundays at the moment. Check in times are strictly between 2pm and 6pm (latest arrival time 5.45pm). Because my partner and I will be staying a few miles away from the flat during your visit, and to fit in with our work and family commitments, it is important that we know your estimated check in time well in advance. If you would like to have a check in outwith these times please contact me with the details to discuss whether this is possible before making your booking. For example, for guests who live in the UK it may be possible to send you the keys in advance for a small additional fee of £8 to cover special delivery postage. An additional fee of £20 will be charged for late check ins or late check outs which should be agreed in advance. Many thanks.
HOGMANANY: Sorry check outs and check ins are not possible on 31st December or 1st January.
Just message me if you have any questions about the flat and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible, usually within a few hours. Thank you for reading my listing and have a fantastic stay in Edinburgh.
Please advise your estimated arrival time when making a reservation so I can arrange to be in the flat to check you in. Please let me know of any travel delays as soon as you become aware of them so that I can re-juggle other commitments if possible. Check in is strictly between 2pm and 6pm (latest arrival time 5.45pm).
For your security and mine, please keep the apartment front door locked at all times.
Please ensure that the electric panel heater in the bedroom and the electric fire in the living room fireplace are switched off when you are out or sleeping. Please do not switch the shower on and off repeatedly when showering as this can damage the electrical unit.
Please leave the apartment clean and tidy as you would expect to find it (e.g. wash, dry and put away dishes, pots etc. which you use) .
Before you check out please can you put your rubbish (including partly used drinks/food items) in the large containers situated in the 'tunnel' entrance to Rodney Place. Check out is up to 11am on the day of departure.
Many thanks and have a fantastic time in Edinburgh!
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2018 the minimum stay is 7 nights.
My name is Kara and I've been living in Edinburgh for 30 years. A friend introduced me to Airbnb and I became an Airbnb host in December 2013. I have also been a homestay host since 2006 for overseas students coming to Edinburgh to learn English. I really enjoy being a host and welcoming folk to Edinburgh. As this listing is for my whole flat you'll have privacy throughout your stay but I will be happy to help you with any questions you may have about the flat and about Edinburgh,
As an Airbnb guest I usually travel with my partner to other destinations within Scotland and Europe. l love studying foreign languages and can speak French and German. I'm currently learning Scottish Gaelic too. Whilst travelling (and at home) I love walks in the countryside, swimming and eating out. At the moment my favourite cuisines are Korean and Japanese but I also enjoy Chinese and Indian food, and Scottish cuisine of course.
