This is a colonial Spanish style "Hacienda cafetalera" (coffee plantation) in the middle of the Toro Negro (Black Bull) national tropical rain forest. The place is plenty of water falls and natural pools surrounded by high bamboo vegetation. After downfall you just hear the multiple sound of the tropical forest life, so if you don't like coqui sound this is not the place for you. To the South you can see from the house the Caja de Muertos (Death Coffin Island) island, famous for their enchantable tropical beeches and the Caribbean pirates who's is said to hide big treasures in it's caves. Excursion to Caja de Muertos Island are available daily from the town of Ponce, about 45 minutes from the house.
