Great place and spacious!!! Only downsides are the distance from town and the lack of a nice beach. Apart from that, there is always a breeze, you're facing the sunrise, and the house has all toiletries and amenities you can think of!

We had a fabulous time at Adam's place. Casie, his house manager was very helpful. She greeted us on arrival and gave us lots of useful information. She was always around if we needed anything. A local phone was offered, this was very useful when calling tuk tuks to take us into town. It takes about three minutes on a tuk tuk to get to Bando beach and about five to get into town. There is a small beach in front of the property which was lovely to enjoy in the early morning. Very modern facilities to cook if you so desire. We had a bbq one evening which was fun but every other evening we ate in town. There is enough choice of food to please everyone...well...I thought so!! I have no negative feedback... Just wonderful memories that we hope to repeat in the non too distant future. X

Adam's home had all the necessary appliances in good working order, including fridge, stove, warm water, air conditioning, coffee pot, and microwave. The linens, barbecue and outdoor table, in particular, are in need of replacing and furnishings are sparse. The location is private and quiet, a trade-off for being a considerable distance to town. Complimentary bikes would be appreciated. No one wants to walk to dive shops, dining or shopping several times a day carrying gear from that distance. The bay, though perhaps once beautiful, is very disappointing, with considerable sargassum weed and even more plastic garbage. The waves and undertow make the cove unsuitable for swimming except for the strongest of swimmers. Casie, the on-site manager, was very helpful and accommodated our requests as best she could. Adam represented his suite as luxurious, but we would describe it as adequate.

We had a super week on Utila at Adam's place. It was lovely for 2 people but then also easily accomodated 2 extra guests for a few days (cost $25 extra pp). It is literally metres from the beach and the tradewinds blow most of the mosquitos away. We saw some turtles one day! There is a nice walk/run further along the coast, but it being rainy season we did get muddy on our morning run! We got a tuktuk into Utila town for $2.50 pp and enjoyed the relaxed waterfront pubs and restaurants. Bush supermarket had all we needed to cook in the spacious kitchen and eat on the terrace listening to the shorebreak. It was too windy to see much snorkelling at the house, but we hired kayaks at the brand new 'Venue" in Utila for $30 and took them through the mangrove swamp to the north coast which was beautiful and secluded. Just be prepared for a true picture of the accumulated plastic of decades which is mingled with the white sand and saddened us. Mainly plastic bottles, straws, plastic cutlery and polystyrene and - of course- flip flops. Food for thought for our consumer lifestyle... We would stay again when we have a chance to come back to this fabulous spot!

This was an awsome place to stay in utila. It is private and secluded but with easy access to town. Casey our hostess is so friendly and we felt so welcome during our stay. I cannot say enough about their willingness to open up their home to us. We especially loved the covered front and back patios. It was so nice to sit outside and look at the ocean every morning. Adam's home has a million dollar view. You should stay here if you are visiting utila.

Adam's place was such a great spot- so much so that my boyfriend proposed in the yard overlooking a breathtaking cove:) (I said yes, BTW!) Gorgeous views, very clean, perfect location for those that want to be a bit outside of town but still close enough to enjoy the nightlife! Thanks again, Adam! Would recommend to anyone.
