Escape to our Cozy Country Suite, ATTACHED to our family farmhouse but with its own entrance and self-contained space just for you! King bed, full kitchen, and sunny patio with farm field views. The property is shared with our family, other guests, and the rhythms of farm event life—from seasonal maintenance to birdsong and sunsets. Pet-friendly and perfect for morning coffee, sunset BBQs, or cozy evenings in the countryside.
The space
Nestled on a peaceful family farm (no farm animals, just crops), the Country Suite offers a serene hilltop retreat just 10 minutes from Hwy 400. Enjoy the calm and quiet of the countryside while staying close to the nearby town of Schomberg, which has a grocery store, restaurants, and local amenities — all about seven minutes away.
Step into your own exclusive space, attached to our family farmhouse but with its own separate entrance. Inside, enjoy a king bed, full kitchen, and big windows with views of rolling fields, our red Country Cabin, and seasonal gardens. Close the blinds and enjoy the suite all to yourselves, or step outside to the shared patio and backyard to soak in the rhythms of farm life—snow, spring blooms, summer sun, or golden fall light. Perfect for morning coffee, sunset BBQs, or curling up in your countryside retreat.

Pet-Friendly (Additional $40 Fee)
We’re happy to welcome dogs on our shared farm property.
• Dogs may be off-leash only if they stay close to you, come when called, and do not jump on or approach people or other dogs.
• Supervision is required at all times outdoors — dogs may not roam freely.
• If your dog is excitable, reactive, or tends to jump, a leash is required.
• Please clean up after your dog. Being with your dog outdoors ensures waste is picked up and the property stays clean. Towels for muddy paws are provided and help protect our white linens.
Cleaning & Checkout
The cleaning fee covers a professional cleaner to prepare the suite between stays. Guests are asked to treat the space with care.
Checkout requirements:
• Dispose of garbage, recycling, and compost (see checkout instructions)
• Gather all used towels in the laundry basket
• Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on
Smoking Policy
Smoking is permitted only at the designated container on the fire table at the back of the suite. This area is the only approved smoking spot. We prefer you not smoke at the front of the house, and dispose of cigarette butts responsibly — do not flick them on the ground.
Wildlife & Bugs
Part of the charm of rural life is sharing space with nature. You may encounter ladybugs, flies, or even the occasional mouse. During warmer months, mosquitoes can be present, especially around the BBQ or fire pit in the evenings — bug spray and light layers are recommended.
Summer & Winter Comfort
Summer: Enjoy the outdoors and scenic surroundings. Bug spray is recommended for evenings.
Winter Comfort & Access:
The Suite stays cozy with a radiator, towel warmers, and a ductless split heater. We plow the laneway and suite parking spot for easy access. For your safety, we shovel the walkway to the front door during your stay, and do so respectfully to maintain your privacy. Enjoy the snowy countryside safely and comfortably.
Eco-Friendly Stay
We generate 60 KW of solar power and use reclaimed barn wood and sustainable building practices across the farm, making your stay cozy and environmentally conscious.

Free Parking & Getting Here
Your suite includes free exclusive parking spot located just in front of the entrance. Easy access and check-in instructions will be provided before your stay.
Propane Fire Pit Table
Relax around the propane fire pit table on the suite patio—perfect for cozy evenings under the stars.
Unmaintained Walking Trails
Enjoy a peaceful stroll through our 40-acre bush lot, with trails winding gently through the trees. Trails are not marked and are used at your own risk. Some areas border neighboring properties, so we kindly ask that you stay on visible paths, keep dogs on leash, and respect other guests and neighbors. This helps prevent dogs from jumping on or scaring people and ensures everyone can enjoy the trails safely.
Biking
Our quiet, low-traffic area is ideal for cycling, with most roads paved for a smooth ride. Please bring your own bikes, as none are provided on-site.
Winter Wonderland – Ski, Snowshoe & Toboggan!
In winter, the countryside becomes a snowy escape—perfect for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or enjoying the crisp air.. Bring your own gear, as we do not provide equipment, and all activities are used at your own risk. Be aware of your surroundings, including trees and uneven terrain, to stay safe.

Family Farm & Event Space
Please note that the Country Suite is ATTACHED to our family farmhouse, where our family lives. The Suite is all yours with its own entrance and a double-door system designed to help reduce sound between the spaces, though a little noise may occasionally carry. The double doors help maximize sound while keeping the space cozy, comfortable, and homey. All windows also have blinds, so you can easily make the space completely your own whenever you like.
The property also includes a rustic wedding and event barn at Fermanagh Farms, with events mainly on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
We host tours for prospective clients on most weekends. While we keep these visits brief and as discreet as possible, we may not always be able to provide advance notice. Tours never enter the Suite, though you might see guests walking past the windows or around the property on a Saturday or Sunday.
Location & Nearby Attractions
The Country Suite is not located on a lake and does not offer on-site swimming, but there are nearby options:
