We love to live in Glastonbury! It's eclectic and vibrant, has loads of music, good food with plenty to do. If you like art, balls, markets and festivals this is the place to be with a weekly Tuesday market in the High Street. Its history is brilliant with The Abbey and legends of King Arthur and King Henry VIII, not forgetting the famous carnival in November. The area has amazing cider breweries where you can spend the day eating and tasting, you will find brochures to these in your apartment.
We are a short walk (5-7 mins) from the Tor and town as well as all the iconic sites such as the Abbey, Chalice Well and White Springs. We are on the side of Wearyall Hill, the site of the famous holy thorn which is a short walk away should you wish to visit it. Unfortunately the tree was again damaged recently and may no longer be there, but the Hill is still sacred and is a nice easy walk with great views.
We supply a range of brochures and a welcome folder with all the information you will need to see this historic town. For the younger guests we have supplied a few toys and books to keep them busy. We have a couple of good tour guides here who for a small fee will spend the day with you and show you around this amazing place. Historically and legendary they are a mine of information and they do short and full day tours. A day tour to Stonehenge, with transport is always a favourite and we can arrange all of this for you prior to your arrival. Contact numbers for the guides are also in your apartment. We have contacts for pick ups/drop offs to Bristol etc. should you need and taxi numbers in the apartment.
