Thank you for your comments of our living room decor. My wife has enjoyed picking up all of those decorations over the years.
I'm really quite surprised with your comments of our queen bed mattress as it's only about 4 years old. It's a pillow-top that we purchased in North Conway, and have enjoyed sleeping on it, even though it's not a top brand. The actual bed and frame is about 7 years old. It's all metal and can be squeaky however, I really never thought it was a problem. Our home is over 40 years old and I can't imagine keeping a bed original to the house for our night's sleep. In fact, that would not only be unhealthy, it would be quite gross! Our double/full bed is the newest at 1 year old and would've been another option over the queen if a pillow-top is not your preference. Our queen is definitely not a firm mattress. Interestingly enough, our bunk bed mattresses are actually the oldest, and most firm. This is not simply a business for us rather, our retreat home that we open up to share with guests.
In terms of towels for the kitchen, I've tried to be descriptive over the last 10 years as it pertains to bringing your own towels of all kinds. That should include bath hand and shower, kitchen, beach, all of them.
In all cases, I've tried to treat our guests as we would want to be treated and provide my cell number, send a welcome email, and even call the chalet to speak with our guests. I'm always willing to work things out with and for our guests. Our home is not new and has a few quirky, particulars unique to our home however, we've always loved it.
With all of that said, I plan on checking all of the fasteners for the bed frame, head and foot boards, and making sure our pillow-top mattress wasn't swapped out for another in the middle of the night.
