Great check-in experience100% of recent guests gave this home’s check-in process a 5-star rating.

This historic open air casa, one of the last original palapa style houses, was built starting in the 50s. The original owner Peggy Muendel was an interior designer from New York who made Yelapa her home for over 40 years. Building the house in one of the most lovely spots in Yelapa with a natural cooling breeze and view of the bay, she worked tirelessly to create a unique and artistic space to host friends and family. We are honored to continue her traditions of art, beauty and hospitality.

Like Yelapa, the place is gorgeous, remote and unique. Surrounded by giant trees filled with parrots, we felt like we were camping but with wifi and hot water. Very private, a true get away!

An opportunity to sleep in a spacious open house 'in' the jungle. Listen to the falling figs landing on the roof and patios and the birds' songs and squawks. Hear the gekos and enjoy the butterflies. Music drifts up from town. It's very private and we loved having the kitchen and…
