The space
Its ALL BRAND NEW for guests to enjoy their stay in our area, we couldn't even squeeze everything into the pictures to show you exactly all that it has to offer! There is a very large parking lot, diagonal the house, w/security for large trucks, boats n trailers, and additional parking, the double bay garage can also be used for small cars n SUV's for convenient parking and unloading. Back deck w/ propane fire pit, there is carpet on this deck so no cooking over it and no smoking on this deck , use of picnic pavilion which has a portable fire pit so that you can make smores, roast hot dogs, and make mountain pies, propane grill, the fireplace is for candles only but also very nice, full kitchen upstairs w/everything you need stove, fridge w/ ice machine and water, microwave, dish washer, etc. Dimmer switches on most lights adds to the cozy atmosphere, all bedrooms have ceiling fan/light, Laundry room, Towels, blankets, bedding included! The upstairs bathroom has a water pump looking style sink, shelves for your hair dryer, make up, personal hygiene products etc. it also has an infinity shower, which is a shower on one side w/ a bench to sit down and use a handheld shower sprayer to shave your legs etc. on the other side! Hotel like bedding throughout! We have a corn hole game you can use outside, card games, TV cable, Wifi guest use, desk area, DVD player w/ many movies to choose from, a 60 game arcade game downstairs w/ free play for guests of the house! Other things to note
I always say bring your glamping supplies! All you really need to bring w/ you are clothes, personal hygiene items, your bath room items, such as tooth brushes, hair dryer, etc. Food, beverages, paper products/plates, PAPER TOWELS, etc , condiments, and cooking stuff for the portable fire pit (mountain pie makers, hot dog sticks, match light charcoal , etc. ) you will also need to bring items to use for the propane grill such as spatulas, tongs, oven mitt, hot pads, grill lighter, flashlight for pavilion area and back yard at night, There are stores not far to pick things up, if you prefer! If you don't want to cook, I have a menu at the house, you can call and order for pick up right up the road or go out to eat w/ places nearby! Gas station and sit down or order for take out as well, so very nice and convenient! We also suggest that you bring a pair of slip on type shoes such as slippers, flip flops or thick socks for the downstairs basement floor is cool and more convenient for going in and out. We also ask that upon departure that you leave the home as nice as it was when you arrived! Please take the time to read the house rules, it will save time during check in and help u to pack, and give u info. but always reach out to ask questions or inquire, we do try to accommodate and work well w/ our guests! There is a pond and a stream and you may even see some wildlife passing through the yard, trust me I am sure you will love it and really enjoy yourselves!

I was born and raised in Huntingdon County! Raystown's Rustic homestead has always been a dream for me! I like to travel some myself so comfort, beauty, and atmosphere were the main goals n what I wanted to pass on to our guests. There is so much to see and do in our area, its one of the reasons why we love living here and that's why I made a folder and a suggested itinerary of things for you to consider checking out during your stay! I really enjoy going out on our boat, the arts and crafts festivals in our area, sitting in the picnic pavilion, having a drink n reading a book, or sitting around the propane fire pit chatting w/family and friends (no smoke in my face, no work, n no smell on my clothes, no mess, and no worries of it blowing around and catching anything on fire) just relaxing w/ good company, plus 2 minutes to get it refilled nearby, for pretty cheap, if need be!! We do have another fire pit that is used near the pavilion for roasting hot dogs, using the mountain pie makers, and making smores which we also enjoy! The 60 game arcade game is really fun, I am still no good at it, pac man looks easy, n its fun to play against someone n not be losing all of my quarters like I did as a kid, we keep score against each other, its fun! One of my hobbies is I like walking in nature and find interesting pieces of wood, stones etc. as a guest you will see some both inside and outside as part of the décor! The decorating of RRH is my taste n my style also one of my favorite things to do! My boyfriend Mike helps w/ it and also my co-host Rachelle both very informed, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask! We hope that you will give Raystown's Rustic Homestead a try and look forward to having you as our guest!
