This is a stunning condo located on the top floor of an 8 story building. An incredible pool area, gym, great snorkeling and dive shops across the street. The area offers places to eat, drink, shop within 5 minute walk. 3km to town. Great security

The space
The location and condo layout is great...... but the views are to die for. It is so fun to watch the cruse ships come into port in the morning and leave in evening along with all other activity on the water in front of the condo. Sunsets are unbelievable. Being on the top floor is great because the views are THE BEST---you see the stunning colors in the ocean from the top floor--- AND there is no noise from above. The building at Palmar is gorgeous with A+ amenities: superb pool area, workout room, tennis court, play area for kids, etc. And, there is 24/7 security on site including a guard station at the entry to the private parking lot. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Many successful locals live at Palmar. Several restaurants are nearby and a convenience store is just below the pool deck which is located about the street. Town is a 25 minute walk or a 5 minute cab ride.

Neighbourhood highlights

We love being in the heart of activity in the "south district". The BIG cruise ships are incredible to watch as the come in the morning and leave in the evening. In addition, dive and snorkel boats, ferry's to the mainland and other boats dancing on the blue green Caribbean provides non stop entertainment during the day. A new shopping center and restaurants in our area provide what is needed.

We bought this house in August 2013 and moved back to Bend from Colorado 3 years ago, having just bought a house just a mile from the Bungalow. John is a retired Oceanographer and Sally a retired forester. We lived here for 13 years from 1987 to 1999 and know the area, especially the backcountry, really well. The Bungalow is a block from our daughter Casey, her husband Pete, and their 2 year old daughter Sophia. The back cottage is rented long term (30+ day) and is separated by a tall fence so guests at the Bungalow have exclusive use of the back yard and hot tub. Hosts are friendly and we have found guests to be wonderful people. We like its simplicity and reliability, and the blind reviews give a sense of confidence to both us and guests.
