Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Hemingway’s on the Hill is a rustic private indulgence.

Set high on the hill, bearing witness to the best of rural life. Cows graze paddocks, and flocks of birds fly overhead. Life is everywhere.

Curated by Interior Designer Fifi. She wrote a story for the life to be lived in the space. Like the great man himself, thoughtful yet spare enough with surprises of artful collection.

We escaped the city 15 years ago. We found a better life.
Come and stay and write your own love story.

The space
Hemingway's on the Hill is a self contained cottage with wonderful views. Private, set in its own garden room. Outdoor bath, fire pit, gorgeous luxurious linen and comfortable bed and furniture. The main house, the original 100 year old Dairy farmhouse, is nearby.
You share the garden with curlews, bandicoots, sunbirds, figbirds and more. There are lots of birds, butterflies and native animals to watch from the verandah.
The cottage is fully screened so the wildlife will stay wild. We are central to a fantastic, growing, tourism region, waterfalls and bush walking. Swimming at Lake Eacham is a short drive away. The area has the most wonderful and diverse fauna and flora. Also you can indulge your tastes in the developing tropical food experiences, local cheeses, coffee, tea, hand picked strawberries, local ice-cream, farmers markets, cooking schools etc.
Hemingway's is not suitable for children under 7 years old.

Guest access
You will have the cottage and the lawn area in front of Hemingway's on the hill.

Other things to note
We provide breakfast ingredients that include, free range eggs, bread, bacon, muesli, milk, butter, raw sugar, jam and honey, tea, coffee/coffee plunger, Nespresso machine and pods.
