Absolutely loved staying at this apartment. The place was very clean, and it's pretty spacious for a New York apartment. The decor was super cute and the location couldn't have been better. It was a very short subway ride from Manhattan, and the surrounding neighborhood seemed very safe. There were plenty of places to grab groceries or a bite to eat nearby. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Great location with nearby subway to/from Manhattan (line 7), easy to reach from JFK airport. Friendly and accomodating host, we stayed for 5 days and loved every minute.

If you know New York then you'll already know that Sunnyside is very convenient to Manhattan. A great location and has everything you need nearby. JP was there to meet us and explained everything we needed to know. He was lovely and we felt at home straight away. His apartment was perfect for what we needed and I would definitely recommend it. It is a studio as advertised but the kitchen/dining area is separate so it was actually bigger than we anticipated!

Although I didn't meet JP, his friend was friendly and met with us to let us into the apartment. JP's apartment looks just like his photos and is very comfortable with plenty of space for two. Conveniently located near the train station and in a very safe and secure neighborhood. I would definitely stay at JP's spot again!

For my first time using airbnb, staying at JP's place was a great experience! The apartment is exactly as shown, a good size and very comfortable. It definitely felt like a nice home. The neighbourhood is nice too, especially with the subway being only a short walk away. It's the perfect area to be close to the city, but far away enough from all the craziness. If I could live here I would! JP was also a great host, his advice and tips about the city were extremely helpful. I would 100% stay here again.

JP's place was great and accurately described. The neighborhood had some really yummy food options and wasn't too put of the way. Parking was also much easier to find than I thought. Overall great stay and location!

I was born and raised in the suburbs in Minnesota, went to university at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and then moved to New York in 2012. I'm a musician, and operate an online educational/inspiration website. Most of my life is spent making music, drumming, teaching, performing, and traveling. I love traveling and seeing new places. Luckily, as a drummer, I get to do this quite a bit (this is why I started with Airbnb). I've been finding I really enjoy renting out my space in New York to excited travelers. It excites me to be a small part of someone's experience in such an exciting city.
