The Four Seasons has all the comforts of home with the calm and quiet of the mountains. Enjoy the beautiful sunset views from the deck or while keeping warm in front of the wood stove. We are minutes from the Long Trail, rock, skiing, swimming holes, golf, and less than a 45 minute drive to Burlington and most ski areas.

The space
At 225 sq feet, the Four Seasons has everything you need to relax and feel at home. The full size Murphy bed with memory foam mattress, tucks away nicely to leave enough room for a Vermont Farmhouse dining table, a comfy couch, full kitchenette, bathroom with stand up shower stall, and wood stove.

Guest access
Our cabin in located about 5 miles down a dirt road and privately nestled along the tree line behind our home. Guests will park outside the main house and walk about 25 yards to the Four Seasons. We have a long driveway that is steep and, at times, requires at least a 4 wheel drive vehicle during the winter months. A lower lot is available for parking during such times in the winter when we have a lot of snow. In those cases, you will have to walk up about 0.2 of a mile of driveway to the cabin. Advanced notice will be given in those instances. You are welcome to hike on the trails behind our house and store skis or hiking equipment in our garage.

Other things to note
**Please be aware of Vermont's Covid-19 guidelines before making your reservation***
We have two very friendly dogs, Lucy and Stella, and 3 children (7, 5, & 3 years old) that will be milling around the homestead. We also utilize all of our property for stacking and moving wood, gardening, playing, raising chickens, etc., so you will see us during your stay. The cabin is comfortably private, though, with privacy shades.

We have a very long driveway that often requires a four wheel drive car to get all the way to the top in the winter and mud season. We have a lower parking area that requires you to walk up the last bit, so come prepared in the winter.

As previously mentioned, we live about 5 miles down a dirt road with no lights and, if you are unfamiliar with Vermont winters, potentially hazardous driving conditions. Please plan your arrival and transportation accordingly. We suggest arriving in daylight during the winter as you may have to walk up parts of the driveway.

And as you may have sensed, the cabin is in the woods. Though there is WiFi, it is at times spotty. The power goes out occasionally but we have a generator to provide power if that happens. There are occasionally mice, deer, bear, fox, and other animals that you may see or hear. There are also parts of the year where ticks and bugs are a bother. Please be aware of these things to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Lastly, we live about two miles from the Camp Ethen Allen Training Site. It is home to the Army Mountain Warfare School and conducts weapon testing which we can, at times, be heard depending on the time of year. It is rarely bothersome, but occasionally it persists into the later part of the evening.

Complimentary use of Snowshoes, sleds & snow tubes available upon request! :)

We live in the Green Mountains of Vermont with our 3 kiddos, 2 dogs, and 6 chickens. We love to play outside in our nearby swimming hole, hike in our mountains, ski, run, bike, and read. We also love to travel as much as possible.
During your stay
We live on the property with our kids and dogs and you will see us come and go throughout the day. We are available for recommendations or suggestions reliably by text or phone during most of your stay and intermittently in person as much or as little as you wish. We will, however, leave you to your privacy unless you reach out as we would like for you to enjoy the peace and quiet of your stay. It’s not uncommon for us to have minimal in person contact with our guests, so please let us know if you want to chat and we’ll make ourselves available! Our dogs, Lucy and Stella, will probably be around more often than us to hang out! Unfortunately, we are not
able to allow guests’ pets at the cabin.
