I am sorry you were not happy at our Island Zen Cottage. The village of Kekaha is gladly not for everyone. It is a local neighborhood not a controlled environment of a resort. Kauai is famous and not so famous for the endless amount of chickens:) Island Zen Cottage is a original plantation cottage from the sugar cane industry and built in 1930. It was customary to have a bathroom/laundry outside off the carport. It made it easy for plantation workers to cleanup before they entered the home. We do list this bathroom on our listing as being outside. In our many messages with each other I am sorry that you did not mention that you would have liked another bar of soap I would have gladly provided more. I am also sorry that you did not mention as a host I was helpful:) I do hope that you had a memorable time with your family and remember it fondly.
