Surrounded by cafes, restaurants, harbour beaches, yacht clubs, busses, trains and ferries. Easy access to the airport, Sydney city, Opera House, intra/inter city expressways and ocean beaches. Perfect!

Interaction with guests

Julie will meet you on arrival to welcome you to the apartment and introduce you to the neighbourhood. She will also be on call throughout your stay to answer questions and quickly resolve any issues that may occur.,

Other things to note

There are four major supermarkets, including Aldi and About Life (organic) plus a farmers market each Thursday within a five minute walk from the apartment with excellent restaurants, bars and pubs en route!

Westfield Mall, Bondi Junction, Kings Cross and Martin Place, City are each a short journey on the Eastern Suburbs train line - Edgecliff Station a 500 metre walk. St Vincent's hospital is a convenient 10 minutes drive.

We ask you to be low key and considerate of the neighbours in this quiet residential block. No pets and strictly no smoking please. No parties or large groups. Would prefer no very young children.

As a courtesy, shoes can be left in the entrance hall to reduce noise transmission from bare floorboards.

It would be appreciated if the apartment is left in the condition you found it with all items intact (per inventory) and consumables replaced. Please feel free to leave used linen etc in the bath for laundering.

Our stay at Julie’s apartment was our first experience with Airbnb and it was wonderful. Julie is a lovely and gracious host and her apartment is perfect in every way: A gorgeous art deco apartment, recently and beautifully renovated, light and sunny, beautiful leafy views from every window, comfortably and beautifully furnished and decorated (with a bed and linens to die for), everything we could ever need during our stay provided, including endless entertainment options with a separate tv/media room and an endless stream of Netflix movies, documentaries, and tv shows. The apartment was impeccably presented and spotlessly and meticulously clean, something we greatly appreciated. A day didn’t pass without us swooning and commenting on how elegant, tasteful, stylish, comfortable, and ideal the apartment was. Julie’s apartment is located in probably the best location in Sydney, minutes walk to an array of great cafes, restaurants, and shops, and to the views, parks, and beaches of Sydney harbour, and to Centennial Park in the other direction. It’s close to all types of public transport, and a quick drive to the city or Bondi: close enough to be able to easily and quickly be amongst the action, but also tucked away in the quiet of gorgeous leafy Double Bay. The apartment, located at the back of the block, is whisper quiet and peaceful, and we awoke each morning to nothing but the sounds of birds. All in all, it was a dream stay. We can’t thank Julie enough for opening her home up to us!

Wonderful location, we stayed for 12 days. Relaxed and quiet location but within walking distance to pubs and bars. Close to the train and ferry. Commuting downtown with the ferry is amazing, scenic and as quick as with the train. Julie was always quick to reply and accurate. All in all a great experience!

Julie made us feel very welcome in her wonderful apartment. It was exactly what we wanted and expected. We were visiting relatives in various parts of Australia during our stay and needed access to all the forms of Public transport. This was really easy for us given our location in Double Bay. Double Bay itself was a little gem with fabulous cafes and restaurants and best of all a short walk to the Sydney ferry services. I have visited Sydney many times and this is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Many thanks Julie

We had a great time. It was a great location, in easy waling distance to the ferry, the supermarket, lots of restaurants, and lots of fashionable shops. The apartment itself was clean, airy, very tastefully furnished, and nicely decorated with fine art work. The fresh flowers in every room were a thoughtful touch. Julie let us have an early-check-in, which was greatly appreciated after our long flight from the U.S. Everything worked as advertised and we had no real need to contact Julie after our initial orientation.

Julie is a kind, warm, and wonderful host and was there to greet us. Lovely touches around the home like flowers and some groceries to make us feel welcome. Clear instructions, fast wifi and Netflix was a nice addition. A very comfortable and beautiful home... We loved it so much we extended our stay.. Twice!

Socially, life revolves around the restaurants, bars and shopping of Double Bay, Sydney city, Paddington, Potts Point and Surry Hills - all within a 7 minute radius.

Bondi Beach is a short drive over Bellevue Hill so a swim or cliff walk from Bondi to Bronte is perfect on sunny days.

Swimming in the Harbour at Double Bay Beach or Redleaf Pool is a beautiful way to relax closer to home.

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, a 10 minute walk via Darling Point, is ideal for sailing or a relaxing lunch while the 18 Footers Yacht Club at the end of the street is perfect for watching the exciting sailing races on Sydney Harbour.

Yoga, Pilates classes and Gyms are readily available locally. So important to keep fit! Occasional Golf, when invited to one of the established Golf Clubs locally, is a wonderful way to spend time. Tennis in Rushcutters Bay park is also fun!

Cycling is a very popular local pastime both for transport - using all the fabulous new bike paths our City Mayor has introduced - and riding for pleasure in Centennial Park.

Access to the Cross City Tunnel, Harbour Tunnel and the Eastern Distributor, which link to all areas of Sydney via expressway, is only minutes from my home. This makes driving in Sydney as effortless and speedy as possible.

It is easy to make the most of all Sydney has to offer culturally by being involved in the many arts festivals, film festivals and community events the city hosts from this convenient location.

So much to do...... Life is never boring in Sydney!
