Located in the trendy West End of Glasgow with it's many bars and restaurants, this fully renovated apartment provides peace and quiet and comfort for guests.

Its also great for those visiting the SSE Hydro Arena, SECC, Riverside Museum and Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum.

The space

Situated in the trendy West End of Glasgow, this fully renovated apartment provides peace and quiet and comfort for guests.

The apartment has been extensively renovated to a very high standard.

Part of a traditional historic red sandstone tenement building, the apartment is on the second floor. As its a traditional tenement all the rooms have high ceilings which adds lots of character to the apartment. With the extensive renovation, the apartment is literally brand new inside but i've still managed to mix this in with the charm of an old tenement building. There is also a complete new Central Heating system within the apartment.

The apartment has a gorgeous internal kitchen with solid wood worktops, white high gloss units and slate tiles. Kitchen facilities comprise washing machine, under counter fridge freezer, oven, hob and microwave. All crockery and cutlery is provided.

The lounge is nice and spacious with a bay window looking out onto Exeter Drive/ Dumbarton Road. In the lounge there is a high quality Sofa Bed and a relaxing large armchair. There is a solid wood dining table with 4 chairs. A brand new Sony 42 inch flatscreen Smart TV.

In the bedroom, there is a brand new luxurious Double Divan Bed (with storage drawers underneath), Sealy Posturepedic superior mattress, oak wooden wardrobe and dressing table, mirror and stool and a bedside table with lamp for reading.

The bathroom really is gorgeous. Natural Stone Travertine tiles all over to give it that wet room feel/ look. Bathroom area has a toilet, sink and stunning double shower with overhead electric shower.

The apartment is ideal for two couples or for a family of four or even 2-4 friends. It is definitely a peaceful apartment and would suit most folk looking for a relaxing short break but with the option of having all the fabulous amenities of the West End/ City Centre available to them.

*The sleeping arrangements will be the Double bed in the bedroom sleeping 2 people. In the lounge the Sofa Bed will fold down to sleep another two people. The maximum people the property can sleep is 4. If in some circumstances some guests do not want to share the sofa bed or double bed i can provide an additional single fold down bed/s.*

The main entrance to the apartment block is operated by security access.

*On street parking is available. There are NO parking charges. Parking can sometimes be limited in the evenings but you can usually always get a parking space.*

*The apartment is fitted with a Smoke Alarm and Carbon Dioxide Alarm.*

The apartment is in a great location, on the thriving Dumbarton Road. With easy walking to local bistros and classic West End eateries and shops, the hustle bustle is literally on your doorstep. A 15-20 minute walk takes you to Byres Road which is bustling with cafés, shops, restaurants and nightlife. The exquisite 500 year old Glasgow University, the beautiful Kelvingrove Art Galleries and Museum, Kelvingrove Park and Glasgow Botanic Gardens are all within easy walking distance of the apartment. For those that prefer not to walk there is buses galore more or less right outside the apartment taking you all over the West End/into the City Centre. I'm happy to provide further details to guests if required.

Other nearby attractions include the Riverside Museum (European Museum of the year 2013) and the new Glasgow SSE Hydro Arena and Exhibition Centres which are the main venues in the whole of Scotland for exhibitions and music events.

Access to transport facilities is also within walking distance from the apartment.

Partick station is a 5 minute walk away. Its a combined railway station and underground station along with an adjacent bus station, forms one of the main transport hubs in Glasgow with regular services to many locations in Greater Glasgow and wider Strathclyde.

You can reach the centre of town in around 10 minutes by either the Train or the Underground.

Glasgow Airport is also very convenient to get to. It is only 12 minutes in a taxi.

Just the usual house rules apply, please treat the apartment with respect is all I ask, it has cost a lot of time and money for me to get the apartment as comfortable as possible for my guests.

I also expect noise levels to be kept to a reasonable level when it's getting late in the evening as there are other residents living in the block.

I allow some pets to stay in the property. Please contact me for further information if you would like to bring a pet to stay also.

Craig was a freakin' awesome host! We originally enquired about this property but as it was booked, he allowed us to stay at another close-by, with all the same features, and he was extremely accommodating when we changed our arrival time with short notice. Heaters in every room, super comfy bed, super comfy couch, hot water, well equipped kitchen, the fresh scent of bleach (I.e super clean!), and even a mini Christmas tree in the living room for that festive feelin'. Greg gave us some local knowledge and recommended a driving trip which was amazing. The whole experience was tops, would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and fam :)

Excellent. Comfy, clean, purrfect place to stay. (Like the extra pillow choices too). Craig was wonderfully helpful, allaying fears for a first time airbnb user, answered all questions, and provided great advice. Location excellent: short walking distance to Patrick station for subway to the center, "The Wee Bakery" immediately next door and a nice cafe "Meadow Road Coffee" with killer strong coffee just across the street for people too lazy to contemplate breakfast making, and several pubs nearby with typically friendly Scottish people :) Two thumbs up.

I'm happily living and working in Glasgow. I love this great friendly city. I've lived here on and off since 2000.
I'm a big fan of the likes of Grand Designs, The Restoration Man and Location Location Location. I'm always working hard to ensure my apartments look the best they possibly can and for any ideas on how i can improve them further.

As i've got older in life i enjoy the simple things in life more. Getting out and about and exploring Scotland's beautiful scenery and going on amazing walks. When i get time i like to travel and experience new cultures places and people.

I work very hard to ensure all my guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay when they come to stay at my apartments. Hopefully every review i get will reflect my dedication to ensuring my guests are happy.
