If you’re looking for a typical old Dutch Gabled spacious farm house with South African character near Cape Town, Kirstenbosch Kalk Bay then this is definitely worthwhile considering. The lighting is a little antiquated but all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

This Airbnb is simply amazing. We adored every room- all so spacious and with character. It is so big that you often can’t find each other even though we stayed here with a big family. It is truly special to stay in a house with so much history! Thanks for this opportunity.

We had a 3 day stay at this wonderful house. While the house itself is amazing (historic with excellent interior design), we were surprised at a few elements. Firstly, upon arrival we were surprised to find that the housekeeper/manager pretty much shares the house with the guest…

Response from Soraya:
Veronica Currie seems to be an awkward person to host. As most families are aware, water restriction in Cape Town does not permit washing outdoor areas and watering of the garden. Foliage around plants and trees helps prevent water evaporation from the morning dew which is understandable to all of our guests staying here. Our garden does not have cigarette butts lying around, as our dear Stansfield is very reliable and responsible on the upkeep of the property. Our house manager sometimes uses the backroom to overnight, but in no way does he share the house with our guests. If this were the case most of our guests would have also felt constantly "awkward" but thankfully they were all very appreciative and honest in their comments.
