The quintessential country cottage on the edge of the Cotswolds and close to Silverstone.
It is situated within the beautiful village of Sulgrave, which has its own community run shop, the welcoming Star Inn and Sulgrave Manor the ancestral home of George Washington.
Enjoy your own private sunny garden, snuggle up on the large Loaf sofa in front of the open fire or explore further afield with good links to Oxford, London, Birmingham, the Cotswolds and great shopping at Bicester Retail Village.

The space
Although The Cottage is relatively small, with a lovely warm and cosy feeling, you can find space to sit quietly and unwind or take that important business call.
There is a small office space should you need to work but in addition there is a small sofa in the main bedroom with a window looking out onto the garden a perfect spot to unwind.
The large Loaf sofa provides ample space for the whole family to relax.
If you enjoy cycling or running the quiet roads around Sulgrave are perfect, with plenty of opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside no matter what time of the year.

Guest access
The entire property including the garden and summer house.
We do have a large shed which we keep locked but could be used to store bicycles should you need it

Hi there, hopefully you're looking at my profile because you're planning a trip to Sulgrave and I will then be able to meet you in person. However, until then let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have been lucky enough to live in Sulgrave, a quiet hidden almost secret part of Northamptonshire, for the last 17 years with my husband, James. We moved here as newly weds and have slowly accumulated 3 dogs, a cat, several chickens and not forgetting 2 children! Sulgrave is a particularly welcoming village with a strong sense of community perfectly illustrated by our successful village shop, run almost entirely by volunteers. Sulgrave Manor stands proudly within the village, the ancestral home of George Washington, it welcomes visitors throughout the year from across the globe, hosting special American celebrations as well as weddings. For the past 3 years I have been housekeeper at another Airbnb property, so I have gained a huge amount of experience of hosting. I really enjoy meeting new people, finding out their story - what brings them to Sulgrave and ensuring their stay runs smoothly. My local knowledge can help you find shops, restaurants, hairdressers, playgrounds, spas, theatres - whatever makes your trip special and memorable. When I'm not welcoming guests I enjoy walking my dogs in the glorious countryside surrounding Sulgrave, visiting National Trust properties, cooking, gardening and reading (you will find some of my favourite reads within The Cottage). I hope you decide to visit us and very much look forward to welcoming you Sarah x
