Closed until 2021. The generous second floor King room features 100% cotton sheets, includes a desk, a TV and DVD player. Shared: large bathroom with shower/bath with other guests, an additional half bathroom on the main floor; a mini-fridge, kettle and coffee maker in the dining room. My acre is planted with hazelnuts, surrounded by hectares of peach trees. 10 minutes from the outlet mall, 10 minutes to the village of Niagara-on-the-Lake or St. Catharines.

The space
The King room includes a desk, a television and a hairdryer (to free-up the shared bathroom) and an ultra-quiet 3 speed fan. Your room has a key lock and the back entrance has a key-code. Parking spaces are marked, kindly do not block the garage door. There is room in the barn to park motorcycles or store your bicycles. Uber taxis are now available and wine tour operators can pick you up directly from this location.

Guest access
The shared spaces include a large bathroom with shower/bath. A second half bathroom is on the ground floor. The main floor is open plan with a dining room where you can prepare a snack, make coffee and tea, or keep things cool in the mini-fridge. Some basic dishes and cutlery are there including wine glasses and cork screw. There is a contemporary fireplace sitting area and access to the front porch. You can stroll through the peach orchards to have access to the lake's shoreline (I don't recommend swimming in Lake Ontario, but some do).

Other things to note
Out of consideration to other guests, please do not slam doors and make an effort to be stealthful after 11:30 p.m.
Hazelnuts are grown and sold here at The Nut Farm, a pesticide-free hobby farm. Harvest time is September to October, they are hand picked, washed and dehydrated.

In the heart of Niagara wine country, the rural setting of The Nut Farm is a quiet retreat. My acre is planted with hazelnuts and surrounded by hectares of peach trees, and only 8 minutes from the outlet mall; 10 minute drive to the village main street, Shaw, Peller, Gretzky, Strewn, Oast House brewery and downtown St. Catharines.

I am a well-seasoned traveller to many corners of the planet and avid AIRbnb supporter and superhost. The features I look for and offer include value for the dollar spent; close to points of interest; really nice sheets on an incredibly comfortable bed; relative peace and quiet; clean water; safety/security; elbow room within in the listing; and free parking.

During your stay
I am home almost all the time. I will greet you when you arrive (kindly give me your ETA). It's a rambling acre so I might be lost in my hazelnut grove or up in my workspace on the third floor; but you can text or email me at any time.
