While I thank Hye for part of her comment I am disappointed for the parts that she omitted and the parts that she is not accurate.
THE NOISE COMPLAINT:
First and foremost,
In my listing, I have stated that there will be some level of noise.
The construction that Hye mentioned does not start at 6 am and has never ever started at 6 am since they broke ground last year.
It is illegal in NYC to start a construction at 6 am and I am sure it is the same way most places.
So that is a completely false information and I do not understand why she would say that.
They usually start at 8 am and I understand it might still be too early for some, but they do not start at 6 am. As for the noise, it is only noticeable on the days they cut the metal parts of the construction, which is twice a week. Other days everything they do is putting things together with screws and knots and pouring concrete and the noise from those things is not distinguishable from any street noise.
The last thing about the noise, they are finishing putting the roof this week and now they're also putting up the outside walls of the 6th floor, which is the top floor. So the noise situation has ended.
As for the bug, she brought the bug herself by leaving mango leftovers out in the open that she did not dispose of properly.
Not only I had to clean the plastic mesh garbage bin, which is not suitable for wet garbage, that was all sticky, I also had to dispose of the other mango skins and leftovers that she left in the kitchen on the countertop. She did not even bother to inform me that they belonged to her. I had to send her multiple messages and ask her in person to find out about that.
Another thing is, she did not clean the bathroom after using it and left the bathtub drain with full of hair and did not put the bedding stuff in the washer before she left, even though these are on my list of house rules.
When I write a review I tend to not bother myself and overlook little things as we are all humans and have a bunch of other things to do therefore sometimes we cannot keep up with everything, but I hate the hypocrisy.
If one does not live up to one's responsibilities then one should be at least honest enough to consider that those unfulfilled responsibilities might be the sources of the issues that one feels that one has. Like leaving mango leftovers all over and then getting a bug. There is and has not been a bug anywhere in the apartment but in the room, she stayed.
I wish you well with everything Hye.
