Great little camp on a beautiful cove in Skaneateles Lake. Perfect for those looking for a low maintenance, rustic camp experience. Easy access to boating, swimming and fishing. 10 minutes from town but feels like miles away. A great value on the best of the Finger Lakes in upstate NY!

We had such a wonderful time. The place accommodated us well. Communication and check in were easy. Access to the lake and kayaks was wonderful for the kids.

Barb was a gracious and responsive host that made us feel like welcome guests in her family's home. The house itself was a charming and full of character. We loved being able to eat meals looking out on the lake.

Our long weekend for my Mom's 90th birthday celebration was perfect! Outstanding weather allowed for boating (we tied our boat to the dock), swimming to the swim raft, a family Olympics (the grounds had plenty of room for bocce ball, kayaking relay race, corn hole, and yes, even a Fruit Loop eating contest!) Barb was very accommodating to include giving us flexibility when checking in. The cottage is rustic (as advertised), and was perfect for my Mom to sit on the porch just feet from the water to watch the family play games and watch boating activity on the lake. The fire pit was a great hit as everyone gathered around in the evening for great conversation (including Mom!). The cottage slept 9 and we maxed out every night and appreciated all linens being provided. We met the neighbors (the Mayor) who were very nice as we chatted up old Skaneateles stories as they new my Mom and Dad. All in all, a perfect family reunion weekend with no complaints. Thank you Barb and Charlie!

Barb's lake house was a perfect place to stay for the weekend! House had all the necessities we needed and she was such a hospitable host. It was the perfect time of year to swim, kayak and have a campfire next to water. The location is ideal for enjoying the town during the day and having a nice secluded getaway spot at night with friends.

Slate Cove is a wonderful location for a lake vacation. The rustic cottage sits close the the shore so that one only needs to walk a few steps to take a swim in the crystal clear water. We loved listening to the gently lapping waves, day and night. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything we needed to cook family meals, which we shared while sitting at the giant picnic table not the open porch. The gas grill was put to use most days. Barb even provided many towels when I let her know that I had none to bring. While the house is most definitely rustic, it is very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay in this lovely spot.

What a great place to have a very laid back, adult siblings weekend. Having spent our childhood vacationing at a rustic cottage built in the same period, it brought back many fond memories. The cottage was everything we expected, the neighbors were fun, parking was great. Skaneateles has much to offer and Auburn is close by. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for this type of venue.
