We are very excited to bring the Iglu Hut Hideaway to Nash End Farm this winter.
This is luxury glamping at it’s best. A cosy hand crafted wooden space for a totally revitalising break. Inside you will be wrapped in feather like slats of aspen which curve, dome like into the recesses. With a comfortable fixed double bed, soft cotton sheets, a shower and flushing toilet and small kitchenette, you have everything you need inside the iglu.

The space
With no need to venture outside if the weather looks unwelcoming you can create the ultimate Hygge experience, cook a delicious meal, light candles, read, relax over a board game, watch your favourite boxset, or best of all, enjoy that longed for evening of conversation.
Then wrapped up in oversized scarves and sturdy boots and a nice warm coat head out for a brisk walk through some of the most beautiful countryside England has to offer. Call in at a local pub for a refuel and look forward to returning to your warm cosy Iglu.

During the winter we commend maximum 3 guests with the 3rd guest being a child and you would need to bring your own bed and bedding.

During the summer you could book as a group of friends or family with some of the guests staying in tents or camper vans/caravans in the large paddock in which the Iglu Hut is situated. With those needing/wanting the most comfortable spot e.g. grandparents/parents staying in the iglu hut.

Guest access
1/4 acre paddock to yourselves including Iglu and seating area.

Other things to note
This is brand new for November 2017, and as of March 2018 the only one we know of in the UK.

You can buy meat and logs for your BBQ from Rosalind which comes from the farm.

Ours is an authentic working farm, complete with mud, farm smells, the sound of tractors and animals, including cattle, sheep, pigs and friendly working dogs. It is useful for you to note this when you book in case you don't like the idea of being on a working farm.

We have placed the Iglu Hut carefully where we can attach it to mains water and provide a septic tank. The hut faces the farm so you can see the farm building (at a distance of 50 metres) from inside the hut. When you use the seating area in the summer you will be facing towards the sunset and the fields.

When I first visited my partners family farm 12 years ago I was struck by how remote it feels when you arrive and once I moved into the farm a year or so later I had a feeling that I wanted to be able to share the space with others seeking a piece of English Countryside and the peace and quiet we enjoy at Nash End Farm. Once the dairy herd was sold Chris and I began thinking of how we would diversify (weirdly I wrote my GCSE geography project on the topic of farming diversification although I do not come from a farming background). We had always loved looking at the different accommodation types when at countryside shows and when visiting the 3 Counties show June 2013 we decided to take a leap of faith and purchase a Shepherd's Hut. We have just installed our second hut. The Iglu Hut and are now welcoming our first guests. It is so cosy and warm and lovely being enveloped in the soft wood tones. Chris and I really enjoy sharing our space with our lovely Airbnb visitors and we hope to welcome you soon to enjoy English Countryside at it's best (if that doesn't sound too braggy...)
