Our stay at Girragirra was very enjoyable. The house itself wowed us all. Everything you could need. Wendy's sourdough was delicious and the organic farm eggs were the best eggs we've ever eaten! You could easily stay a week, unfortunately our stay wasn't long enough!

The property was lovely, secluded and beautifully set up. We arrived to fresh brownies and all the things we would need for the next morning including freshly baked bread and fresh eggs. The whole place was comfortable and sitting out on the balcony viewing the wildlife and having a glass of wine allowed us to unwind from our trip.

Girragirra is a beautiful and secluded retreat nestled beside a sprawling lakeside property. The hosts, Wendy & Kim graciously shared their relaxing and eco-friendly home with us for our night in Forbes. This property is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to make the most of a relaxing weekend away with options for all travellers from bushwalks to relaxing with a book by the fire. We have enjoyed our time immensely and we will be back for more soon.

There is a beautiful personalised sign that welcomed us by name while directly us clearly to where we were to go...there had been flooding in the area and we received detailed reassurances to prepare us. If anything the photos don't do justice to how beautifully restrained and clever all the place is...with delicious vegetables from the garden, linguini and passata provided so we didn't have to go into town...also appreciated the wine for sale and local items available to buy...discreetly shown ...great restrained collection of books...and binoculars for viewing birds in the lake overlooked by beautiful windows

This was a superlative experience and one I will treasure. The house was perfect - I needed a place to work on a project while not sacrificing good design, luxury and netflix. I thoroughly enjoyed being immersed in nature and being able to observe the rhythms of the local environment from the house, it's hard to top food you pick yourself and created by amazing (& inspirational) hosts, not to mention being able to access good runs, cycling opportunities and the 50 metre swimming pool in nearby Forbes. This was the perfect place to replenish and to enjoy the wonderful things in life and to leave inspired...

I throughly enjoyed my stay at 'Girragirra'. What a great expression of the Australian bush. The view of the billabong, the eco garden and surrounds was beautiful. The Pavillon has an wonderfully modern contemporary feel to it with a lux finish - with all the mod cons you might need. I only wished I had planned to stay longer. Wendy + Kim were lovely hosts, ensuring I had everything I needed and delivering the most scrumptious warm sourdough bread for breakfast on the morning of my departure. I would definitely love the chance to stay should I ever, be passing through Forbes again.

Wendy and Kim made us very welcome in every way possible. Our home was beautifully appointed with everything one needs for a relaxing few days away. The beds were gorgeous, so comfortable and the ensuite off both bedrooms made life too easy. We ate both our evening meals home to enjoy the surroundings. Cannot thank Wendy enough for her delicious sour dough bread and access to a wonderful veggie garden. We will recommend your fab accommodation to everyone we meet.
