Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Relaxed country life 10-20 min from downtown, Cloudland Canyon, Rock City, Incline, Sunset Rock, Ruby Falls, Tennessee Aquarium, big living in Lookout Mtn’s foothills as your backdrop.

If you want hiking, country roads, rock climbing, caving, biking, hang gliding, or amazing downtown sights, the Little House is an open canvas for your Chattanooga stay. Easy drive to great restaurants and local attractions. Photos in my listing show restaurants & sites, often listing proximity to each other.

The space
The entry has a stone path and 3 steps with railing. The daybed and trundle in the living room can be used as one or two twin size beds, or together as a kingsize. Three children or two adults can sleep there.
Please keep pets on a leash and gates closed because of our dog. Pets must be house and furniture friendly, have current vaccinations, and be free of parasites and fleas. Please ask for old sheets for a top layer if you have bigger dogs that like to get on beds so our bedding doesn’t get ruined.
The bathroom access is through the bedroom.
With small children please feel free to take the trundle bed mattress in to the bedroom if needed.

Where you’ll be

Walker County, Georgia, United States

We’re in the country but still close to downtown Chattanooga, just the way we and others like it. Almost equal distances from the places most people want to visit. On Mountain Cove Loop Bike Route for bike racers. Within 20 minutes of Rock City, Cloudland Canyon State Park, Hangliding jump park, rock climbing and hiking at Sunset Rock, Ruby Falls, Incline Railway, Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga Choo Choo and Glen Miller Garden, bike rental, climbing wall on a building downtown, free electric shuttles. Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, Chattanooga Zoo, and Pigeon Mountain.
Much of downtown, Main St, and North Chatt are very walkable.
We’re halfway between Cloudland Canyon and concrete canyon (downtown) which is ideal so you can get to either easily.

I grew up in the area and love it all. There’s so much to do I still feel like a tourist in my own town, and can spend hours in places I’ve been dozens of times. The larger area is truly an outdoor paradise including biking, rafting, tubing, kayak/canoe, hiking, caving, climbing and hang gliding. Yes, people come here to jump off perfectly good mountains. I can tell you a lot about things to do and places to eat but don’t get me started unless you have a minute. I love living out in the country with my family but an still easy drive to town, swimming, or hiking. When I’m out hiking or swimming, or being amazed downtown I think, “Yeah, I live here.”

During your stay

We are available onsite and respect your privacy. Our home is 80 feet from and completely separate from the Little House. We have 3 goats, a horse, a rabbit, 1 older dog, and three small gardens, so you will see us working in the yard, especially on weekends. I work from home and Mitzi works at our kids' school. We stay busy, but are accessible should you need anything!
You can always get me through Airbnb message or we can swap phone numbers if needed.
