Where you’ll be

Nancy, Kentucky, United States

Our property is in the country with a full garden, a flock of chickens, and a goat named Marmaduke. You may hear a rooster crowing, a cow mooing, or a dog barking (or all of these things happening at once). We are three miles from Nancy, which has convenience stores, gas stations, post office, a small library, and several restaurants. Mill Springs Pizza Express offers breakfast, sandwiches, and pizza and the Triangle Restaurant is a cozy diner setting serving lunch and dinner. Two Scoops offers ice cream and desserts in the summer season. Haney's Apple Orchard sells pies, cookies, and other baked delights year-round, as well as their apples and peaches during the harvest season. We are thirteen miles from Somerset, which offers many more dining and entertainment options.

I am a freelance writer and own a specialty food store. My favorite part of travel is getting to check out the local restaurants and farmers markets wherever I visit! My husband and I are excited to host travelers of all types and from all over in our Kentucky home. John has lived in New York, San Fransisco, and a few states in between—he would love to chat with you about photography, jam bands, or where to find the best hiking trails near us.
