The Barn is a pretty Cotswold-stone building in a quiet village. A great base for relaxing & visiting the Cotswolds, Oxford, Blenheim Palace or Bicester Village.

Just 5 minutes drive from the historic market town of Chipping Norton, with plenty of shops & relaxing coffee stops. The village pub is 5 minutes walk.

In winter a log burner makes it cosy. There are footpaths 'from the door' and great mountain & road biking too.

We love welcoming UK and international guests & business people.

The space
A light and airy place in tranquil countryside - perfect for a staycation or as a workspace.

Covid-19
The Barn is separate from the main house and has its own entrance.
Check in / out can be done independently, using the keysafe by the door.
We are following AirBnB's suggested Enhanced Cleaning guidance and whilst guests should bring their own supplies, we will be providing some additional hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes for our guests.
As a result of the pandemic, we are taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.

There is a small kitchenette area with kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave but no oven or hob. We provide several types of tea and ground coffee as well as cereals, fresh milk and bread or Hot Cross Buns to help you start the day.

The Barn is a detached building with its own entrance. Whilst The Barn dates back to the late 1700's, it's been fully renovated and is light and airy. In the summertime, you can pin back the french doors to let the sunshine flood in.

You'll be staying in a wonderful rural location but with great access to many interesting, historic and iconic locations such as Blenheim Palace. Other local attractions include Daylesford Organic, Soho Farmhouse and, if you like shopping, the famous Bicester Village is only about 30 mins away.

Our village pub - The Salford Inn - is just 5 minutes walk down the hill. It's recently been beautifully renovated with Cotswold stone with original beams on show. The chef serves light meals and daily specials.

For those who love walking and biking, you'll have great access directly from The Barn to fantastic Cotswolds countryside.

This is what a previous guest, Patrick said:
"Can't say enough good things about staying at "The Barn". If you get the chance, stay here! We had such an amazing time, definitely the highlight of our trip to the UK! You went way above and beyond and we hope to be able to come stay again one day"

The kingsize bed has a John Lewis Natural Collection pocket sprung mattress and the bed base has drawers for extra storage. There are both firm and medium pillows for you to choose from.
A previous guest, Adam, said this: "Thank you for a great couple of days away from the city. We loved everything about our stay in The Barn. The location, the fire, the breakfast and probably the comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in."

One of our previous guests, Charlotte, said "Nell & Tim are so friendly and helpful - would 100% recommend their gorgeous little place to anyone looking for a base in The Cotswolds area!"

Our central location in the country means that we regularly welcome business people to The Barn. We have good WiFi and there's a round table to work at if needed. Our Keysafe gives flexibility in accessing The Barn if you're running late.

Guest access
The Barn is a detached building and so you will have the whole area to yourselves.

Other things to note
Tea, freshly-ground coffee, juice, bread, butter and jams are provided in The Barn along with several types of cereals and milk. Let us know if you need gluten-free bread.

There's a purple A4 folder inside The Barn with plenty of useful local information including cosy local pubs and eateries.

There's also a local map of the area to help you to explore the area and plan any walks - please don't forget to leave them in the building before you depart.

Location

Salford , Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

You will never be short of stunning sights and unforgettable days out when you visit this part of the world!

The pre-historic settlement called The Rollright Stones, dates back to 4,000BC and is just a few minutes away by car (slightly longer by footpath!).

The local market town just 5 minutes away - Chipping Norton - was an important wool centre from the Middle Ages, with Bliss Mill a wonderful local landmark.

There's a busy market in the town every Wednesday and once a month on Saturday's there's also a Farmer's Market where all sorts of local produce and crafts are available for sale.

For something a little bit more 'upmarket' Daylesford Organic Farm Shop is just a few miles away, as well as the Michelin Star 'Wild Rabbit' which serves high quality seasonal and local food.

We produce our own honey: 'Fields End Honey' and - if we still have stocks - guests can buy pots of this premium Cotswold honey to remind them of their visit, or as gifts for family and friends.

Finally, if you want to explore our beautiful area under your own steam, TY Cycles in Chipping Norton hire Hybrid, E-Bikes and Road Bikes for single or multiple days. We have miles of quiet country lanes around and you Sustrans Cycle Route 442 is just close by. TY Cycles can drop off and pick up from The Barn.
