I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, please believe me that had I know of your expectations I would have respectfully decline your request, and even pay to have you stay at a hotel to ensure you are happy!
There are a few unfair allegations you’ve made that I would like to correct:
1. We only have 5 rooms listed on Airbnb & only four are made available at all time, Room1 has its own ensuite ,so our guests from another three rooms are sharing two bathrooms.
2. We repeatedly asked you if everything was ok, and also reminded you that our numbers were posted on the inside of your room(When feeling that the night could be getting cold you were provided with extra blanket that you didn’t even requested.) We were never far away and were always available whenever needed, in return you always answered ‘Everything is fine!’ When asked and we took your words for it.
3. Although Breakfast is not part of Airbnb’s provided services, we make sure our kitchen is stocked with simple items as an extra to our guests. Although knowing we probably won’t be able to satisfy everyone, We encourage our guests to help themselves to these items, hopefully save our guests some time in case they are short of time and still need to look for breakfast in a new area.
4. It is very unfair to describe our house as having ‘paper-thin’ wall, the house was built to BC’s building codes & we live here for the last 16 years without realizing this, also, all our guests know to keep noise to minimum after 9.30pm, and the room next to yours were empty while you were in, so we would never have thought of this (you being disturbed) had you not mentioned it in your review! We are truly sorry.
We take pride in what we do and is very disappointed when we read the review you have left. We will work harder to make our place better, hopefully our other guests will treat us with fairness & appreciate our place more.
Lynn & Ben
