Hi, my name is Bina. My house is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, but is still conveniently only a three minute walk away from Lakeside street. My husband and I both work for a local NGO, KOPILA-Nepal, which helps women and children in need. So, we donate 10% of our profits to this organization. Our family consists of myself, my husband, his mother, our housekeeper, and our two dogs. We love meeting new people and have hosted many guests from all over the world.

The space
Our guests have to go through a common space to access to this two-bedroom studio, which is located on the 3rd floor of our home. Both bedrooms have a European double or king sized bed, a private bathroom with a western toilet and warm shower/bathtub, as well as windows. One of the bedrooms even has a desk. The studio also contains a kitchenette, balcony, and sitting room with a small working area and library. Additionally, guests can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and peace pagoda while relaxing on a couch in the sitting room.

Guest access
Guests will also have access to separate, common areas of our home, which are also located on the third floor. For example, our guests can also easily take advantage of our shared living room and library, if they'd like. Further, we have a larger kitchen that guests are welcome to use in the morning. Additionally, our guests can use our large garden, which is located in the front and back of our home. Our guests can also enjoy stunning views of the Peace Pagoda, Sarangkot, and the green hills from our rooftop at any time!

During your stay
We do not disturb any of our guests. However, if you would like to interact with us or learn more about Nepali culture and customs, we are happy to chat with you and spend time together in the mornings and evenings.

Other things to note
We are happy to provide our guests with local Nepali cuisine & desserts. Additionally, we can offer any of our guests with cooking classes at a reasonable price. We also have two adorable dogs that our guests can play with, if they'd like. Further, any of our guests are welcome to volunteer at our local NGO, KOPILA-Nepal, which helps women and children who have mental health problems, are disabled, or have experienced gender-based violence.

Our house is very close to the center of lakeside, where guests can reach a variety of restaurants and shops in 5 to 10 minutes by walking. Yet, we live in a quiet area with many lovely and caring neighbors, so our guests can feel welcomed into our homey environment. Our neighbors can also communicate in English if any of our guests would like to speak with them. Additionally, we live right next door to a bakery, where you can buy delicious cinnamon rolls or chocolate croissants for only 30 cents (USD)!
