Idlers Cottage, in the Somerset village of South Petherton; a hideaway with loads of charm; and feels like someone's home... perfect for a romantic break. Set in our garden alongside a thatched Grade 2 listed house.
With its own small patio/garden. Perfect to catch the sun, unwind and enjoy an outdoor meal or a glass of whatever is your fancy.
This Somerset hamstone cottage is a 3-minute walk to the village centre which oozes life with butchers, bakers, pub, deli, greengrocers and lots more.

The space
The studio cottage has a double bed, freesat TV, DVD player, CD player, Wi-Fi, Woodburner. There is also a storage heater.
The dining table doubles up as a work desk if needed.
There is en-suite with shower, WC and wash basin.
The kitchen area has a halogen hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, kettle and a range of pots and pans to self-cater in comfort.
Access to the cottage is up a 5 steps and then a stepping stone path .
We can happily provide a travel cot for a toddler but please let us know in advance of arrival.
We provide a starter pack of wood for the woodburner; so there is no delay if you want to light up. Extra wood is available locally.
The private patio is a wonderful place to 'chill' after a day exploring the area.
We have a selection of books & DVD's if that amuses.
Bedding and towels provided.

We do not charge extra for cleaning so we ask that the cottage is left in clean condition; with dishes washed etc.

Guest access
There is off-street parking for one vehicle in our driveway.
The cottage is reached via a few steps and a stepping stone path.

Other things to note
Within a short drive are a number of National Trust and English Heritage properties; as well as atmospheric towns of Sherborne, Bath, Exeter and Glastonbury.
The Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes motor museum, the Jurassic coast and Cheddar Gorge. The list goes on.
Perfectly situated 3 minutes from the A303 and a half hour from the M5 motorway.

Hi. My name is Charles Frumer and I live in Somerset, UK. I play quite a bit of tennis which is great physically and socially. I live my lovely wife and we do a lot of reading, walking, and meeting interesting people. My passion is baking sourdough breads which I try and bake every week. Just never get tired of it. We hope that our guests will enjoy the apartment that we have put a lot of love into.
