Judi and Ross's land and home are absolutely beautiful. They were also amazing hosts. As soon as we arrived we felt very welcomed. We were shown around the facilities and our camping spot. Ross generously gave his time to help us out with our car that got stuck (thank you!). Along with the great hosts and land, they are a beautiful drive along the lake from Queenstown.

We had an unexpected and wonderful stay on the farm, renting a tent from Judi, to save weight on our Around the Mountains cycle trail. The route to the farm is a little hilly for the bike, but the reward was an absolutely spectacular view of the valley shared only with the sheep. Judi couldn't have been more welcoming to our very tired selves, providing cold drinks and showers.. we would love to stay again if the opportunity arose!

We got the privilege of camping on Judi and Ross' sheep farm! Jonathan enjoyed climbing the hill behind our tent and it was fun hearing the sheep in the paddock next to us. Although the wind really came up during the night, we were a little concerned we would blow away but not to worry, all was as it should be when we woke up. Both Judi and Ross were very hospitable and welcoming, it was a very enjoyable stop over.

A great place to escape the busy city life and Me time. The scenery surrounding you is amazing.. I really live climbing up to the top of the hill to watch the sunrise or sunset, mind you, it's really windy and cold up there; but it's worth it tho. Judi, Ross and Shannon are really friendly and kind. I had a great time there. Would definitely come back if I have a chance.

Great stay with Judi and Ross, extremely warm and kind people. The farm has really beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. It was great to do a little hike there. It really felt like a taste of authentic New Zealand and was a highlight of the trip. Would highly recommend a stop at the farm, a wonderful experience.

We're lucky to have been given the opportunity to live and work on our Northern Southland farm, which has been in the family since 1926. When we have spare time we stay at our Wanaka holiday home, which we rent out to others so they too can have a great place to stay.

I’m Judi, and I work as a full time primary school teacher. Ross manages the farm with the help of casual farm staff. We also have a cat who enjoys the good life inside the house, and a springer spaniel dog who hangs out with our work dog team.

Being a land owner means we are guardians of the land, so we have a responsibility to keep the land protected for the future generations. We are community minded and help when it’s necessary.

Ross loves classic cars and has a 2 door 55 Chev. Judi likes reading, and enjoys developing the garden. We both really like travelling and meeting new people. We’ve been to Japan, China, the Philippines, Australia, UK and Ireland.
