A perfect place to relax and connect with yourself, which was the intention of this trip. Maureen had the fire lit when I arrived and respected that I wished to be in silence during my time there. I had everything I needed for a lovely stay and the morning coffee left at the door…

Unique and relaxing time was spent at this lovely Yurt. We enjoyed Maureen's hospitality and the lovely falling leaves.

Response from Maureen:
thanks Carolyn. I'm happy to share the land (hippy that I am lol) good to see you took so many hikes in different directions and really explored. Sorry to disappoint re the little waterfall, not enough rain to keep it running continuously. Should be full on with coming rain and snow soon! Thank you for re setting the fire pit stones and leaving it with just fine white ashes for the next visitor-.also grateful for your leaving the yurt so tidy. A pleasure to host you both. Hope this experience gave you both a good chance to catch up.

My partner and I are avid campers so we were very excited to experience Maureen's Mongolian Yurt, which was something different. Maureen was a wonderful host! We arrived after dark and she already had the wood stove lit and the yurt toasty warm for us, which was very nice of her…

Thanks Jessica for the nice feedback. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Was a treat to host you both. Thank you for bringing extra kindling with you. Actually the little hibachi is new (in July) but as an outdoor cooker is prone to rust. Lots of guests have used it with the charcoal with good success. It is however intended for back up only, in case open fire cooking is not suitable. I agree its best for guests to bring their own portable burner if they are staying for more than one night. Thanks for choosing my Cosmic Yurt!

This yurt tucked into the mystical magic of an old wood forest that is energetically charged with power, movement and beauty! It is simple yet a very refined experience, of camping! If the weather is good, as ours was the fire is the most perfect reset to a day exploring the wat…

we wanted a week end away from our busy lifes. and that's what we got! if you're not used to camping or living with the minimal this is not for you. just live the yurt, the toughts in the deco and everything.

Response from Maureen:
Kimberly glad you enjoyed a nature break from city life. Yes cooking over a fire and using an out house is not for everyone. I think you did well to adapt. Many who come are experienced campers so this seems like extreme luxury camping for them, with the Mongolian bed, candles and sultan's tent feeling. lol.-which is why I'm called a 'Glamping experience' I guess. -also want to mention the natural stone steps that one descends to enter the woodsy path, leading to the yurt, brings another layer of mystery to the experience. -if you let your imagination run!!

We wish to thank Maureen for being such an inspiring host during our brief stay, and for sharing her breathtakingly authentic home with us. The historical and spiritual significance of all she has done with her little slice of earth is truly humbling, and motivating.
