The yurts are nestled in a small wild woods -no need to cancel in this virus time as far as I understand. We are in Hastings county and Tyendinaga township. Passionate about artistry- designing my home and yurts to support healing.
Loving my little Moon Lodge housed in the tiny yurt across from the Cosmic Yurt. It is a monthly meditation sanctuary for women.

Don't hesitate to book in winter...the yurt has an insulated floor and is very warm and if you are staying 2 nights you may use my shower in my house.
I have been providing firewood ..but asking you to contribute kindling and one bag of hardwood in winter, if your staying more than one night- or if it drops to 20 below! Would be appreciated. thank you .
Thank you to all my guests, over the last 2 years, who always leave the site pristine and avoid creating unnecessary garbage. It is a camping experience with wood stove and wood supplies and ash bucket,so do not expect polished floors or sparkling dishes.
A beautiful snowy old fashioned winter brought many lovely eco minded winter campers last year- and the same is happening this winter!
Spring thaw brought those lovely waterfalls, and the summer brings a nice balance of rain and sun to make it like a jungle!
Now I'm happy to announce a new addition!- a rustic forest shower( hooked up to my eaves trough.) plus a newly built out house.
I roll up the wooly walls a little in summer to allow the breeze through and a tight screening is in place to stop the bugs!
Thanks to those kind folk who left behind beautiful tokens on the altar!
I'm so proud of the new white canvas jacket, I bought in July 2018, for the Cosmic Yurt, which now in 2021 is strong and protective but not white any longer!
I have designed the interior to be simple & as non western as possible so you can experience that ancient tribal feeling!
Please understand the shortage of water during August for myself as well as for you as guests.
Happy I have the outdoor rain water shower and 2 barrels at the house eaves for for you to use as wash up water for yourself or dishes or to douse the bonfire. All these simple back up systems allow us to carry on "Glamping" together.
Late august the rains return and the well fills once more and all is restored to green !
You are welcome to use the facilities in my studio home, or the outhouse behind the yurt. For walks to the river please discuss the route with me so as to avoid walking through the new market garden farm.
IMPORATANT-The yurt is on a flood plain so I ask you not to pee in the woods but use the outhouse(bucket provided.) I have created a efficient composting unit on top of the septic field beside my house, so I simply carry the bucket there and dump it in, thus keeping the moss and sensitive eco system around the yurt pristine! thank you for supporting me in this.
Always enjoy meeting and hosting adventurers like you !

Dear nature lovers. For those of you who have booked in summer months I am offering you a chance to re book the yurt in the autumn if it becomes too hot in July & Auguest. Weather is changing these days.!. The Yurt is made of thick felted wool. Beside the yurt is an outhouse with pail to be deposited in composting unit. Also a small rainwater reservoir is attached to the outhouse. Outdoor rainwater shower available to use after rains. if requested you may access well water and use the facilities in the hosts home, situated on the same property. An outdoor fire pit with tripod is also for your use. plus a picnic table. Delighted to bring you a thermos of coffee or tea in the morning. You will be given privacy. Yurt is a 3 min. walk from the House hidden in the woods by a small cliff. You are responsible to maintain with safety, the fire.
