With new Hosts Blue Gecko is a modern villa style house on the beach in West Bali. There are very few clubs, restaurants or bars in the area. It is quiet and peaceful location ideal for relaxing and enjoying rural Balinese life and culture
The space
Blue Gecko is a luxurious beach fronted villa with your own private swimming pool.
The villa is built to a high standard and consists of
2 bedrooms with great beach views to wake up to every morning, extra-large ensuite bathrooms to both bedrooms; kitchen, living and dining area. 50inch TV with Foxtel for those who need to be kept informed and up to date with sports, and reliable fiber optic to Wi-Fi internet. The house is fully air conditioned with lovely Bali fans. The roof top solarium has stunning sunset views of Bali Strait and Java.
The housekeeper, Kadek, the soul of the villa, and Made, the handy man, will pamper you to death. Wash & cook for you. (They start 7.30am till end).You buy the food and they will cook for you. You can even go with them to the local market and see how the locals shop.
Melaya , west Bali is a delightful rural area where guests come to meet and enjoy the real Balinese people and unspoilt country. The national park trails are minutes away. Menjangan Island, Bali's premier dive resort is 15 minutes’ drive away. Visit the many temples and churches in the area or the turtle sanctuary at Negara. Gilimanuk is the gateway to Java with the ferry crossing, again only minutes’ drive away. Medawi surf camp is about an hour’s drive away
Public transport is close by, but a scooter is the best way to get around at only about R60,000 a day hire charge, it’s great. Car hire is about R800,000 a day with driver.
On offer, an airport/hotel pick up service, should you wish, approx. R800,000 each way . The trip has many great views along the way. The journey takes about 3 to 5 hours (+ 1 hour with a lunch stop overlooking the Indian Ocean if you wish). Or go over the mountains with views of the crater lakes and Mount Agung.

During your stay
Kadek, our Co Host and housekeeper , and Made, our gardener/driver, live in the village and are available as required. If you want Kadek can go with you on day trips and act as English-Balinese translator
