We are pleased that you had a good trip. We pride ourselves on being attentive to our guests to ensure they have a good time from the time the enquire about booking all the way through until their return home. Countless hours are spent in preparation
to make sure all guests accommodations and requests are met. We provide additional services such as making vehicle rental arrangements, the personal chef and dinner arrangements, and the personal call and walk through via (Hidden by Airbnb) maps on how to get from the airport to our place.
During the personal call we point different points of interest along the way. This approach is suggested to our guests as (Hidden by Airbnb) maps still does not take you our exact address albeit close by. For guests that had never been to Aruba we explain in as much detail that is needed so that they feel comfortable and assured when they arrive. We also email all our guests with directions to our place from the airport. There are 7 (Hidden by Airbnb) map links contained in the email accompanying and aligned with each part of the description. Our guests typical stay is 7 days and we ask them if it is OK if they can give us contact number if it is OK we like to check in with them 2-3 times during their stay to see how they are going.
We also provide our phone number and let our guests know that they can contact us at anytime if they need something. If a guest wants more or less contact all they have to do is request it.
Now to address your points. I went through all of our email exchanges and only found one occurrence where I had included the house rules.
There were several exchanges initially initiated by you regarding a spray tanner that you use and as to whether or not you should bring your own sheets in case the tanner stained the sheets. We appreciated that you were considerate in telling us but we did not want you to have to bring your own sheets. I made arrangements so that you did not have to do that. I know that I mentioned the rule about suntan oils/sprays again when we spoke about the spray tanner.
We provide many things including all linens, bath and beach towels, liquid hand soap, dishwasher detergent, all kitchen appliances, spices, cutlery, dishes, garbage bags, washer, dryer, hair dryer, iron, folding beach chairs, cooler, etc. We also provide our guests with a roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom to start off with. It is the guests responsibility to replenish toilet paper if they run out. This is stated in the check in/out procedures and house rules sheet that you were provided with.
I went through our text message exchanges. There were 7 of them. Two of them were me checking in to see how things were going. Three of them plus a phone call were concerning the dinner that was arranged for you and your guests. Our chef service is a relatively new service and at this point the chef prefers me to make the arrangements. One of those texts at his request was to ask how your dinner was. I let him know that you enjoyed it and he was pleased.
The other two text messages and a phone call or two were regarding your arrival. Maria contacted me to ask when you would be arriving since she had not heard from you and it was already after 6:30 and it gets dark around 7pm.
Maria needs to know a reasonable time frame when the guests will be arriving so that she is there to greet the guests.
I followed up with a text a couple of hours later to make sure you arrived OK since it was after dark.
