Our converted coach house offers a cosy corner in the busy village of Downton from which to visit the historic cathedral city of Salisbury and the open spaces of the New Forest. Parts of the property date back to 1475 with links to the Bishops of Winchester. There is plenty on offer in and around the village, with local shops, gardens, pubs, walks and bicycle rides along the River Avon. Bournemouth beaches are not far away. We welcome dogs but do have a pet charge of £20 for their stay.

The space
There are stairs up to the double bedroom mezzanine, and there is additional accommodation for another adult and child with the full size single bed (doubles up as an extra sofa) and a pull-out single bed underneath. This is a single bed on a wooden base which can stay out and is comfortable. We can also provide a travel cot with bedding, stair gates and a high chair for those with a toddler. We must make you aware of the various STAIRS in the property if you are bringing a crawling baby or toddler.

Guest access
The cottage has its own private walled garden with direct access from the cottage. There is off-street parking outside the cottage. There is also a shed in the garden which can be used to store bicycles. There are 4 steep steps from the back door up into the cottage's own private garden. Those with small children MUST be aware of this please.

Other things to note
We welcome dogs but we do have a charge of £20 for their stay which we collect on arrival.
Logs are supplied for the wood burner. If more are required then there is a £10 charge.

I am married with 3 children, one dog and some chickens and we live in the South of England in the UK. As a family we enjoy sports and love to travel. I lived in France and Italy for several years. Life is an adventure. We hope that people will come to stay at our property and discover the beautiful countryside around us, as well as the culture the area has to offer.
