Secluded, quiet Blue Mountains house, sleeping up to 11 guests in a total of 4 bedrooms. Plenty of space, peaceful & tranquil location, perfect for families with tennis court, ropes, cubby house, trampoline & large established rhododendron garden.

The space

Comfortable, family-friendly, relaxed house that sleeps 11, perfect for 2 families. There are 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms (1 double with ensuite, 1 triple, 1 queen bedroom upstairs and downstairs is a bedroom with 2 singles & bunkbeds so sleeps 4). The open plan kitchen joins onto the spacious dining room, which opens out through a pair of french doors to the outside deck. A cosy sitting room with log fire opens out through french doors to a beautiful courtyard, the house is surrounded by large gardens with trampoline, swing, ropes, cubby house & tennis court. Enjoy the beauty of the Shipley Plateau, Hargraves and Mount Blackheath lookouts just a short drive from the house. Or take a short walk to our breathtaking lookout over the Megalong Valley. The large established garden and beautifully sited tennis court offers space, peace & seclusion. Megalong Valley's great walks and horse riding places are also just a short drive away. The best apples and juice from the Logan Brae orchard on Shipley Road. At the start of the road (3km) is Blackheath's restaurants, cafes and shops

Guests have the house, 7 acre property, tennis court and gardens to themselves. It is in close proximity to Blackheath, the Megalong Valley and bush walks within the National Park.

The owners can be contacted by mobile phone if you have any queries before or during your stay.

The Blue Mountains National Park has many beautiful walking trails and lookouts to visit. Our favourite places to go are the Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens, Everglades historic house, the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba, the Edge cinema in Katoomba and Mount Vic Flicks in Mount Victoria, the Good Food Guide hatted restaurants in Blackheath (Vesta, Ashcrofts, Escarpment) and the local Blackheath Produce Markets each 2nd Sunday of the month.

A car is really handy though a bus and train can take you to Katoomba. Nearest station to Little Pightle is Blackheath, about 3 km from the house.

Though we were very familiar with the Blue Mountains through bushwalking, we were attracted to the unique stunning scenery, peace and tranquility, all within 1 1/2 hrs drive from Sydney CBD on good motorways. We were lucky to find such a unique property with a house that was being lovingly restored from a simple single storey weatherboard to its unique configuration by a passionate French builder, we just keep the passion going!

An absolutely beautiful house, full of charm and rustic touches. We fell in love with Katie and Ken's place...from the fire place to the enchanting and captivating views of the mountains from the house was breathtaking. With so much space within the house, we comfortably fit 11 adults and 3 babies over this cold weekend. It's an absolute haven for kids to play! Can't wait to visit again.

A grea house which was clean and with lots of good activities for the children both inside and out. Instructions were clear and the house was well equipped However, no garbage bags were provided so bring those and tv didn't have the ABC or Channel 9 or have any streaming services, so either bring your own DVDs or be prepared to watch a limited range of tv shows at night.

The place was gorgeous retreat for me and my extended family. We loved the character of the house and its surroundings especially the tennis court, look out and the roof-less tree house.

Katie and Ken should be commended for being amazing hosts! Their house is truly divine. Tucked away in Blackheath it is the perfect retreat. The house was spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious and filled with everything we needed. To be honest if I could move into it this weekend and never leave, I would! We had an amazing time and will definitely be booking again!

Lovely mountain escape. The house is huge with lots of character and beautiful grounds. Great for families and friends.

Our family love travel and have lived in and visited many countries around the world sharing some beautiful properties, appreciating charm, comfort and privacy. We are particularly fond of the spectacular Blue Mountains and look forward to staying in our lovely property, a great place to enjoy a sense of space, exploring the World Heritage National Park, local produce and restaurants.
