We are so sorry that you were not comfortable during your stay. For the temperature, you mentioned it was "a tad cold" when you first arrived. We immediately turned up the temp and let you know you could open a window and shut the vents. When you mentioned the next morning that despite the 90 degree weather outside, you were using the down comforter in addition to the flannel blankets, and you still felt cold, we turned off our A/C right away for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th day of your stay to do our best to accommodate your needs.
While the control for the temperature is upstairs, we adjusted it immediately when requested.
We didn't hear back from you about the temperature until your last day and were distressed to hear that you had been using the oven to heat the apartment. This is not an appropriate use of the appliance and could cause damage to the appliance and our home. If we had known sooner, we could have lent you a space heater.
We do have a parking space in the alley blocking the garage. We needed access to the lawn mower the first night and apologize if there was a miscommunication making you think you were not welcome to use it for the remainder of your stay.
We were sorry to hear that the side of your bumper got scratched by another car pulling out of the alley onto the bicycle boulevard where you were parked. After seeing the minor paint damage, we are shocked that your rental car company is trying to charge you so much for the paint job. We cannot be held responsible for a hit and run on a city street, but do hope you are able to mediate that cost with the rental car company.
