Our House rules are very clear on third parties invited by Guests. First and Most is we do NOT tolerate sexual tourism and do NOT accept Parties nor drug consumption in our premisses. Some Guests (not saying was the exact case of Pierre and his friend) use the liberty of inviting people over to Airbnb to camouflage sexual workers in.
In view of the above we limit visitors from our guests to certain hours and conditions and because many Guests DO NOT read house rules we send them prior to checkin a reminder of our rules and conditions through an Airbnb message which also included a clear reference to costs and conditions of additional guests to sleeping over.
Having said this, in the case of Pierre and his friend, they did asked for permission to invite friends and said they left a prior Airbnb in the same zone because were not allowed at all to bring friends and professional contacts in at any time, and we said YES ( now its clear that the a similar situation experienced by us happened there), but under the house rules and conditions, which they accepted, and as a matter of fact they brought people in a couple of time during the stay and things were normal until the Last Night in which they brought at 2:00 AM a couple of girls, one of them with the intention of sleeping over. When reminded about the extra charge for additional Guests the accepted but the next day when checking out did not showed for breakfast and at noon sneaked their way out our premisses without modifying the reservation to Pay the extra costs and had to request for money via Airbnb.
I have to say that Pierre did pay the extra cost requested. We do understand that your guys as Pierre and Friend want to enjoy this beautiful venue (as a matter of fact 80% of our Guests are young visitors from all parts of the World coming with their friends and reviews show how they have enjoyed this relaxed yet respectful Airbnb property), but do not get me wrong, there is a fine line between relaxing, enjoying, getting the most a vacation and trying to break the most important pillar of this business which is mutual confidence between Hosts and Guests.
