This flat is the ideal place to start the discovery of Naples and surroundings, Pompei, Sorrento, Capri, Ischia. Located in a very calm and quiet place the apartament has been recently fully rennovated. Easy access to all major subway lines.

The space

The main room is oriented south so there is a lot of light and a nice view toward the sea and Monte Echia ( where Partenopes was founded). There are one large and comfortable bed and a sofa bed. The appartament is ideal for 2-3 people but may accept 4. The bathroom has a shower and the typical italian Bidet.

Guest access

There is a fully equipped kitchen with owen and and microwave owen too. The balcony is small but nice, with flowers all over the year and two lemon trees and awning to protect from the sun, ideal place to have breakfast or dine at sunset during the hot season. Yhere is a fast internet line with a wifi that covers all the flat.

Interaction with guests

Generally I am present to all check in and I like to know my guest and interact with them and share some comments and give some advices for the visits.

Other things to note

To get to Pompei by train it takes between 45 and 1 h. To get to the harbour to get to Capri and Ischia it takes 30 min by foot.

The Lido apartment is high on a hill overlooking the city of Naples. While it's a bit removed from the city centre (approximately 25 minute walk) we really enjoyed the neighbourhood which felt safe and was less touristy. If walking isn't your thing, the apartment is very close to a Funicular station, which can connect you to the subway system. The apartment was just as advertised, beautiful, modern and very clean. It has everything you need for cooking and they had even taken the care to provide a few breakfast foods which was a really nice touch! While in Naples, you need to EAT! Home to the best food we've had an our entire trip so far. The street food on every corner is just as delicious as the restaurants and an inexpensive alternative. I was particularly impressed by the pastries--abundant everywhere you go but the quality rivals some of the best I've had in Paris or elsewhere. Don't miss out! All in all, we'd absolutely recommend Marco's apartment to anyone who is looking to visit Naples!

The place is on a main road uphill, overlooking the port and Spanish quarter, with access to 2 funiculare lines. I took taxi on arrival and departure with a mid size suitcase. Marco has a Lonely planet book and some other tourist information pamphlets in the apartment. The communications were great. He always responds within minutes.

Fantastic apartment, host and city. Marco was very helpful in getting us to the apartment, from when we made the initial request right until we arrived in front of his apartment. The place was as described, and even better. Marco left food for us to make sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The apartment was well-appointed with a nice blend of modern and traditional Italian. The bed was very comfortable. The view spectacular. The location great - a five minute walk to the funicular that gets you right in the heart of Naples. The city itself is as billed: lively, real, filled with history. Go to the Historic area of town for incredible sights and well-priced food. Highly recommend a stay in the Nido apartment !

We really enjoyed our stay in Naples. Marco's apartment is very clean and modern and is well- equipped. The view is amazing! The apartment is in a very nice area, close to shops and restaurants and within walking distance of the funicular which connects to the metro. We had a problem with the TV connection to the antenna but hopefully that has been resolved. We would highly recommend this apartment.

The view is exactly as shown and amazing to wake up to. The apartment has everything you need, feels cozy, and is in a nice neighborhood to start exploring Naples and surrounding areas. Marco was helpful in arranging a taxi for us to get to Napoli Central when it was time to leave. The funicular to get up the hill to Vanvitelli metro can be easy to miss. Turn right when you exit the apartment and look for a narrow opening before the traffic light. Should be within 300m. A carrefour grocery store is on the left when you exit, make sure you get their fresh baked bread!
