This Family Cottage was built in the 1950's It's unique Skillion Architecture allows plenty of light.The walls & ceiling are knotty cedar planking.View sunrises, the lake & freighters from inside or the lakeside deck swing. It has 3 Bedrooms & a LOFT accessed via a birch tree climb, perfect for kids.Spacious grounds for parking, running around & 100ft swimming beach. The front has a large sand box perfect for digging, volleyball or badminton. Outdoor grill and campfire circle on site-BRING wood.

A Cottage Family tradition is to have a "Talentless Show" on one of the evenings of your stay. Makes for great surprises and memories. No Act is too old or too young!

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house and property except the Garage. The yard is 100 ft wide and indicated by metal pipe stakes on each side. White on the North side, Red on the South side. There are no fences between properties so please be respectful of the neighbors by staying within the marked property lines.

Other things to note
Please ensure that you carefully read and understand the House Rules

1) Please use common sense, if someone in your party is not feeling well, ask them to stay home.

2) We participate in the cleaning standards recommended by the CDC and specified by Airbnb in order to make sure that my place is cleaned & sanitized for all of our guests

3) There are many places available to purchase firewood between Port Sanilac and the Cottage for your use at the outdoor Firepit. NO Logs in the Firepit. WOOD MUST BE SPLIT. There are plenty of branch piles on my property that can be used to burn in the Firepit Only. I do not provide any tools.

4) The Cottage has a New Furnace and New Air Conditioning if the weather is too cool or too warm.
CLOSE ALL of the Windows and Doors if you are using either of these
Choose HEAT or COOL and adjust the temperature ONLY.
Keep FAN set to AUTO
Keep SCHEDULE set to OFF (Any changes will set the thermostat to a default temperature not of your liking)

5) The beach is large this year with a mix of sand & rocks. The water is low, down a couple of feet from the high water in 2020

6) All Beach toys must be 1 level up every night. Anything left on the beach might be taken by the lake - it's always full of surprises. If you bring your own boat, I recommend you put in/out at Port Sanilac. Do not anchor it out overnight.

7) In order to use a paddle boat, you will need 4 strong people to lower and lift it. Please treat them with care, Do not scrape them on the Seawall or Rocks. If you don't have 4 people, then the kayaks or other beach toys are available for you to use

8) You may take any rocks or shells from the Beach if you wish. You might find Petoskey stones or other fossils. Skipping contests are fun too!

9) **FORESTER TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE**

OUTSIDE QUIET TIME promptly begins at 10PM and ends at 8AM. You are in a neighborhood, be a good neighbor!

This includes but not limited to: No Outdoor Music Instruments, Speakers, Talking, Singing, Yelling, Drunkenness, Profanity, Disorderly Conduct, Fighting, Indecent Exposure of the person or any other Noise/Sound above a wisper is prohibited and ALL Guests will be expelled from the property immediately without a refund.

Noise levels must be controlled At All Times so as not to disturb other neighbors.

Daytime volumes are not to exceed 55 db. A lawnmower is approximately 90 - 110 db. If you can hear the noise 10+ feet away, it is too loud.
