Our cottage offers 1200 sq feet of curated space, with high-design and vintage touches (including a secret nook for children). A short walk to popular Lakeside Beach and three minute drive to downtown Nelson. Our fully appointed kitchen is great for entertaining. With three private bedrooms, this space is ideal for six adults + children. With a crackling wood stove in winter and massive private patio with bistro lights + BBQ for summer entertaining, Pink+Fifth is a wonderful place to get cozy.

The space
* If you don’t see your dates available, please reach out to us.

Bright natural light floods this bohemian getaway. Our wood stove keeps you cozy during the winter and oversized post-and-beam patio keeps you cool in our hot summers. The patio offers outdoor dining and lounging options along with a hammock to chill and a top of the line BBQ for grilling. And twinkle lights. Lots of twinkle lights.

Off the front of the house perches a bright sunroom, with bistro seating for morning coffee overlooking the park and lake below.

The cottage is close to all shopping amenities, a short walk to the beach, and quick drive to downtown Baker Street, the heart of Nelson.

DESIGN
Our home is recently renovated - the essence of the early 1900's is preserved in plaster archways, rustic ski-lodge floors, farmhouse windows, and eclectic details. Each room is carefully curated with design pieces blended with vintage finds.

We believe details are the building blocks to unforgettable experiences, down to copper cookware and chefs knives as a foundation to a great meal.

Please see our Instagram page @thespacenelson to get a behind the scenes look at our aesthetic.

Location

Nelson, British Columbia, Canada

Fairview is a quiet corner of Nelson, tucked amongst well-tended homes and gardens and respectful neighbours. It receives the most sun during the summer and the snow leaves our roads first in the winter. There are great bakeries, restaurants, grocers, and cafes within walking distance.

The home is five blocks from the lake, directly across the street from a green space and baseball diamond, three blocks from Burlington Rails to Trail, and a short drive (or robust walk) from historic downtown Nelson, British Columbia.

Our family moved from Vancouver to Nelson to steep in the slower pace of Kootenay living. I work in the design industry and my partner in social work. We have three children and love living in our heritage home with all its quirks and creaks. Our family loves to cook and explore. We are adventurers at heart and adore bringing people together. We always have a stack of books on the go and laughter is our favourite pastime.
