Your outdoorsy-style room in Snohomish is close to everything Washington State has to offer: Seattle, Cascades, Eastern Washington, BC, Woodinville wine country. Breakfast items and coffee are available. This room sleeps three comfortably.
Your room is light, blue, and has a nice pastoral view. There is a double futon bed and a twin bed with plenty of shelf space for your things and hangers on the back of the door. It's very comfortable and the temperature can be controlled by opening the window or using the wall-mounted thermostat. There is a bookshelf in the room with a variety of books. If you prefer to read about Seattle and find maps of where to go, I have plenty of those too, in the hall between the rooms.
Your home for a day or as long as you want, is a 1901 country farm-style house sitting on a 1/3 acre of its own grass and surrounded on three sides by other people's grass. There is a long driveway where you can park your tractor, horse, or car. If you just want to sit and enjoy the green and the space, there are two porches (one with a swing) and a large deck in the backyard.
If you really want that 'home away from home' feeling, feel free to use the lawn mower and weed whacker. Or just go for the barbeque, the huge deck in the backyard, living and dining rooms, and of course the shared bathroom. Free WiFi is available throughout the house and you are welcome to use the large television in the living room. This is Washington State, the home of Starbucks, so there is always a way to get coffee here in this house.
Interaction with guests
I, or someone else, will be around when you are most of the time - I live here. I will not bug you, won't clean the room while you are in it, won't ask you to fold my laundry, but I love to get to know my guests. I am a tour guide, so I like to talk about Seattle, its history, and all the cool things to do in this state.
Other things to note
I have pets - 2 dogs and some cats. They don't own the house, but they like to think they rule it.
On an individual basis, I would consider hosting your dog too.
I'm a camper and hiker so I naturally live by the 'Leave No Trace' policy wherever I go. And I'd like my guests to do the same. Sort of a 'if you spill it, clean it up; if you drop it, pick it up; if you use it, put it back; if you break it, replace it' policy. Check-in and Check-out times are flexible, just keep in contact so we can coordinate the timing. No smoking or drugs anywhere on the property and quiet hours 10:00pm to 6:00am. Please take your shoes off while you are inside.
