We host entrepreneurs from around the world. Focused on technology, engineering, and startups, our tech island is a gateway to experience Silicon Valley and San Francisco. We are leaders and dream builders. You will leave enriched and inspired.

The space

We understand that there are plenty of shared living situations, so why stay with us?

1. The People
Our community attracts talented individuals from around the world. Whether you pursue an MBA, attend a developer school, start a company, seek funding, find market validation, expand your network, or hack a project, we provide a quiet and professional environment with people like you. Our guests are constantly scheduling events and meals together, and we have a private page to keep everyone connected.

2. The Space
The most common complaint of shared living situations is that there is not enough space to work. We furnish every room with desks and chairs, we don't overcrowd the rooms, and we keep a professional environment so that you have a quiet place to work, read, relax, study, and code. We have a garage with seating and work space and a spacious backyard with patio furniture. The weather here in San Jose is nice all year long.

3. The Food Plan
$7 per day gets you access to all of the community food - We keep the kitchen very well stocked. The house doesn't make any money on the Food Plan, it's just an added convenience for our guests. For the cost of 1 fast food meal per day, you get unlimited access to high quality nutrition, you never have to spend time shopping, and it is much more efficient and convenient than shopping individually. Plus, you get access to a much wider variety of food because we leverage the buying power of our entire community. Even if you still eat out once a day, this is worth it.

We pride ourselves in having the best cooking equipment: Vitamix blender, Keurig coffee maker, rice cooker, pressure cooker, toaster, high quality pots and pans, and cutlery. We also have private shelf space and fridge space for your personal food items.

We want you to eat well, enjoy cooking meals, sharing food, and making smoothies with fresh fruits and vegetables. We love food!

4. Comfort
We strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We have invested in high quality mattress, pillows, and sheets to ensure that you sleep well. We provide ear plugs for light sleepers, and nasal strips for those who snore. Our house stays clean because everyone contributes. If you make a mess, clean it up. Sheets and towels are cleaned by the house, so you always have access to clean bedding.

Interaction with guests

We live here and work from home, so we are always available and happy to assist you with anything you need. Our guests love to share meals and interesting conversation, attend events and meetups, play games, watch shows, and throw BBQs.

Other things to note

We do not accept reservations outside of AirBnB.

If you are unhappy with your stay we will provide an immediate refund.

Our rooms are shared, so it's possible that you might share a room with male and female guests. If you have a strong preference for a male-only/female-only room, please check with us before booking.

We reserve the right to ask any guest to leave for being sexist, racist, homophobic, rude, disruptive, or violating others' personal space.

Guests are expected to change their sheets every 2 weeks. Clean sheets can be found in the hallway closet. Used sheets should be placed in the laundry basket in garage to be washed.

We prohibit smoking of any kind (marijuana, tobacco, e-cigarettes, hookah) in the house, in the back yard, or in the court in front of the house. If you do smoke, we will ask you to walk around the block while you smoke and to dispose of the cigarette butts in the trash rather than on the ground.

If you snore loudly, we may ask you to wear Breathe Right nasal strips when you sleep in order to minimize the disturbance to others.

If someone is wearing headphones, it may be a sign that they are working. If so, please do not disturb them.

I recently moved to Silicon Valley and decided to stay at Drew’s house for the first few weeks. It was a great decision and I can only recommend staying at Drew’s if you just arrived. Met great people in the house, made friends and we were spending the weekends together. The house is clean, tons of food is available through the food plan and Drew takes care of everyone. Great experience!

Drew created an incredibly welcoming, fun, and intellectual community in his home. He is extremely receptive to concerns and feedback and is always thinking of ways to improve the house. Hired cleaning so the house is well taken care of. Bedrooms were comfortable and the house is surprisingly peaceful and quiet for the amount of people living there! Met some lifelong friends and professional networks during my stay there. Highly recommend.

Drew was a nice host. There is a lot of food in the house. This in not exactly an Entrepreneur Island but it can work for you if you are looking for a cheap place to stay in San Jose. Value for money is good. Public transport in San Jose is really bad and it is far away from the Caltrain station so you need to have a car or at least have a bike to move around. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, want to meet people from all around world, have fun this is a good choice.

Great and friendly host, great place. You'll never know who you meet and the enire house has positive energy. Plenty of spaces to work and plenty of food. This may not be the best place if you're a super light sleeper, but there's always ear plugs provided and the house is quiet after 11-12 for the most part. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic. The whole living space was always clean and Drew was always working to keep everything organized and tidy. The meal plan they set up was entirely worth it and helped take any hassle of grocery shopping/meal planning. If I am ever back in San Jose, I will definitely stay here again.
