Situated in the Loire Valley, steeped in history, a paradise of sleepy villages, picnic spots, and historical landmarks, we are 13 km from Montoire-Sur-Le-Loir, 12.8km from Chateau Renault, 36km from Amboise, 40km from Tours and 230km SW from Paris.

The dwelling, a rustic farmhouse, with a huge barn, is near the village of Monthodon. It is nestled between fields of wheat and hemp. It has a kitchen with stove, refrigerator, with dishes and utensils. It is fully furnished. There is a fireplace in the living room along with an antique Grand Piano.

The upstairs is divided into two sleeping rooms. One room contains a California King sized bed and one single bed. The other room contains a full size bed and a single bed. Both bedrooms have linen and towels and skylights that open.

The barn, contiguous to the house, entered through two glass doors is very large (2,000 sq feet) with a huge ceiling, tile roof, fabulous walls for photography and huge old oak trusses. It is a great place to have gatherings for yoga and art.

Be Advised - This is an old farm house with foibles and personality not a modern dwelling.

The space

It have hosted up to six people. This is a real, old fashioned farm house from 1920s. It is an authentic farm house that make guest feel like they're traveling back in time. Once, we had problems with termites and we have had rats in the barn. Anything can happen to this old farm house so please be aware! Usually, there isn't much trouble but things have popped up in the past. The house is more enjoyable in the warmer months. We have a fire place and a few electric heaters.

Interaction with guests

There is a cleaning lady and a woman who manages the property named Sophie. I have a good friend in Paris, Claudio Lazi, who helps from time to time and speaks English.

Other things to note

A sweet, little old lady that lives in the farm house next door. I feel very creative when I go there. I have made lots of films and other art projects and I enjoyed practicing my French when I stay there. - Tom
