Interaction with guests
I like to allow guests their privacy, with friendly greetings the norm, and I happily provide information on Santa Barbara and Goleta points of interest, if asked, and they are included in the guidebooks in the room. There are numerous maps and guidebooks in the room for guest's use.
Other things to note
If you've been walking on the beach, please check shoes for oil from seeps and leave them outside or in the entry. There is a purple bucket with baby oil and wipes in the carport to use to clean your feet if you were walking barefoot. Please don't track in the oil/tar that the tides bring onto the beach and eventually onto your feet. Wipe the baby oil off with a clean cloth so that you don't slip coming inside. If you've walked in the sand, shoes must be removed before coming in. Just shaking shoes doesn't get rid of the sand that abrades hardwood flooring. Thanks for being gracious to adhere to these rules.
Late arrivals after 9:30 p.m. generally not accepted. Please ask if this is needed due to late international flight, and I'll try to accommodate.
This is a non-smoking home. No smoking/vaping even outside the home since smoky clothes and belongings are triggers to smoke allergies. Any alcohol consumption must be at a minimum. Guests may not bring visitors onto my property at any time, neither overnight nor during the day, for any length of time. No pets, please. Sorry, no laundry, including washing clothes in the shower. Laundromat is at shopping center, should you need it.
Please bring flat shoes for the house - high heels destroy the hardwood floors. Thanks so much! Security cam for doors in common area only.
Quiet time after 10 pm. Check out is by 10 a.m.
2 medium suitcases or 1 large suitcase and a backpack can be accommodated in the room. No other storage is available.
Welcome! I'm a mature friendly, considerate female, living in Santa Barbara, enjoying all it has to offer, including being a grandmother to one sweet young girl. I've traveled a lot, and I don't have the desire to do a whole lot more, but I enjoy hearing of the visits others have made in their journeys through life. I'll welcome you, and show you breakfast items, and give you space, but if you want to chat, that is great, too. This is a very quiet, safe location, close to the beach, and I know you will enjoy your visit.
